| Well done Leigh. They were the better team over 80 minutes, it felt like, and Rovers did well to force extra time.
Not fluent but gutsy from Hull KR and that is much appreciated. Got a couple of moments to celebrate, so way, way better than last time.

You could argue your pre-planned “sway the ref” attack of Asiata’s tackling technique cost you the game

By “you could”, do you mean “I would”?
I won’t be because:
1. It is an argument with a some glaring weaknesses
2. It just feels like an odd focus
I like arguing, so normally I’d be encouraging you to expound. But it is just so weak, I think it’d be better for us both if you tried something else.

I think it would have been better if the OP had started his post with "It could" rather than "you could" as seems he's trying to make this personal, and for what its worth I don't believe any of these theories about the ref being swayed by the players actions.

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Couldn't agree less Squire.
2015 when Briscoe took the interception, I just sat down and didn't care anymore.
Yesterday I was invested right until the end and this has an almost, but not quite, 2016 feel to it.

That’s fair enough - we all feel the way we feel, I completely respect that. I’ve seen other Rovers fans call it heartbreaking.
I just felt relieved mostly, both that they had a dig and of the weight of the last 8 years. 2016, we had the catharsis of 2017 - this isn’t that but it has been quite a wait for, I dunno… psychological rehabilitation? For me, not everybody I accept.
After the early penalties and knock on(s?) I started to fear it’d be 2015 all over again… so Litten going in was nice, and I felt like I could breath again.
If we’d been 6 up with 90 seconds to go that’d feel a bit more 2016-y to me.
For me (lucky me
For now - I reserve the right to change my mind and revert to being miserable later, if new poop rains down. At least it’ll be new.
I have followed Queen Elsa’s advice and Let It Go.

It has occurred to me that at certain times and in certain ways my argumentative tendencies on RLfans could be seen as bullying. Hurt people hurt people. But I’m not going to blame Jamie Peacock anymore. If I’m a bum hole that is on me.
I don’t agree with your contention but I’m happy to leave it at that.
However, if you’d like an excessively long, and painfully detailed and precise response I can provide that. It will not necessarily be entirely exoteric.

Just get that to churn out 300 words on epistemological inconsistencies in a theory.

| Gutted the day didn't have a positive result for everyone concerned with Rovers, all the faces said it all after the game. Just pure raw disappointment.
Again, the team's effort is and was second to none, I love the way they work their socks off every week. Sadly I just don't think we played that well with ball in hand (or not). Too many times we handed the initiative back to Leigh right when I thought we was getting some dominance. Other than that our backs made some great carries and we made some great yardage downfield. I then thought we looked lost the closer we got to the line.
Golden points are the best and worst way to win/lose no doubt. We've experienced both twice now already this season. It didn't feel heart breaking as we couldn't have played that period any worse really. It had a slow inevitability about it all. Not finding touch from a penalty is right up there with all RL sins, and in GP it couldn't have been anymore important. Obviously we somehow survived to go again after Gareth O'Brien of all people missed. The resulting 7 tackle set started off really well, but again we lost all direction/momentum after crossing half way. OK Brad would've been an absolute hero had he managed to kick it from what 45 or so out, but given the previous plays, we had no momentum to set it up. That's when a older/experienced head should've/could've gone for one of our controlled corner kicks. Ifs buts and maybes
The disbelief and shame of 2015 may have been healed a little, but I'll remember this one as the one that could'a been. The game was there to win, but we just never grasped it. Congrats to Leigh, their fans/club. During my time with Rovers, they've been a constant thorn in my side. We must have played them more than any other team. Same divisions/cup draws/finals/play offs. Enjoy it, as that's what it's all about.
