| You took a gamble on him & unfortunately it hasn't come off, his game management is second to none, I would look at paying him off now, we had so many crocked halfs we've taken chances with, it's painful as you know that this pivot changes a lot of onfield but for one reason or another cant keep fit.

| Campo is class, we will need him on the run to Wembley, but not until after the Oldham game.
When we have Campo and Kelly in the halves, Blair at loose forward or second row, Lunt settled into the side and our big fast forwards rolling on we will be a match for any team.
We're a third of the way through this season and there hasn't been a trophy handed out yet. We may make the top eight but I doubt if we could get to the grand final now, so lets get them fit and play for another Wembley appearance with all of our big guns playing to the best of their abilities.
Don't rush them back as there is no need.

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

I really hate myself for going all grammar police as it really doesn't matter, but, ellipsis, three dots. Three. Not four. Three.
Apologies for my awful post Mr. spegs.

I do actually, but that's irrelevant.
Performances, ifs and maybes don't count for much. Results are what ultimately count and the league table doesn't ever lie..... and I learnt that before I left Primary School.

| "Marsh better than Kelly. Not now and I'd wager probably never" ......My reasoning went way over your head.
Kelly is an established half-back (Super League standard at least), but he always seem to be conveniently fit for the big games and has desires to return to the NRL, whereas Marsh is a young player learning the game, getting better with every game he plays and is grateful to be a member of the Hull KR squad ……And, regarding the halves, Kelly and Marsh are not comparable ……Kelly is an off the cuff player (his role within the halves is currently being implemented by Blair after Webster told Blair to play to his strengths, and we have seen Blair play his best games for us in the halves since Webster told him to play off the cuff and attack the line) whereas Marsh’s game is a controller that guides the team around the park and implements game management …….To put it simply, Kelly is comparable to Blair and Campese is comparable to Marsh …….Given our injury woes, which half back combination would you prefer to see the season out?

I've yet to see marsh do any game management even though there different styles you'd have Kelly over marsh any day out of the four you've mentioned Blair is the most important by a mile at the moment

I understood thanks.
Kelly and Campese. They aren't far off. Marsh would be 4th choice and any combination of the other 3 would do.
Marsh can defend well and his short kicking game is good. His game management passing and running all need to improve....a lot. He couldn't execute any passing moves at Headingly.
Marsh isn't close in ability to any of our other 3 choices. Blair's game management has improved dramatically under Webster.

| I've supported Rover's for over 40 odd years, what I will say is I support players who have the love of the club.
Kelly you seem to be seem to be in the mind set that you play as and when you see fit. That is not good enough for the fans or the club. Kelly could leave and if he is as good as he thinks he is clubs in the NRL will be lining up for his services leaving Rover's to fill his spot.
Campese has been and is when fit a great player done it got the T shirt but enough is enough his body can no longer stand the rigours of pro RL at any level. He should retire and do media work or similar.

To be honest I think you are wrong about Campese when he gets fit he will do a job for us he is just unlucky this year get him fit and then make up your mind

| I think the next time he gets an injury that will keep him out for months rather than weeks, then its time to cancel his playing contract. He is a ticking time bomb injury wise. I know clubs used to have a clause in a players contract that if they miss so many games or have certain injuries then the club can come to an arrangement with the player, where they can pay X amount to annul the players contract, and not all of it counts on the salary cap, I think its like an insurance policy.
As good as Campese is, and the influence he has on the club, I think its time we severed ties playing wise if he is to continue collecting injuries like he is. We need to get an established half back pairing if we are to stick to the 5 year plan that Peacock has established for the club.

I agree one more long term injury and the club have to look elsewhere I'd like to think campese would do the decent thing if it happened again
