| Here's one for you I am lead to believe that Travis Burns now becomes a free agent he is supposedly has written in to his contract that if CS goes he is free to go as the main reason he joined rovers was the fact that Sandercock was coach.
To top it all he is taking Greens place at Wigan.
I am not posting this as a wind up just wondering if anyone can confirm this story or can prove it is not true.
Surely if it is true the Chairman should come out with the truth to kill the rumour before it takes hold

| Your next coach will be Wayne Bennett.
He has sacked Costigan from Brisbane, Saint George and Newcastle, and will now follow him to a 4th club to sack him again.
Bennett will leave Newcastle soon. Now all you have to do is find 1.4 million dollars a year and he's yours (you will probably need a Concorde jet too because he insists on spending 3 days a week at home in Brisbane.)

Whilst it's fairly common for such clauses to exist, if it were the case, it would be triggered immediately, and thus hkr wouldn't of been able to subsequently name him in the 19 man squad?

I hope I'm wrong, but Chester isn't the answer. But its all on him now. The first time he's had to earn his corn at Rovers, but can he take this opportunity? Turn over Saints this weekend and I might start believing.'"
I also don't think Chester is the long term answer, after all, he has been there alongside Sandercock for the previous three years with enough input to have a bearing on the teams performances imo.
What makes people think that just because Sandercock has gone, his no2 is going to suddenly change the way we play or approach games?.
Even if we win tomorrow it wont have much of a bearing on the way i see the situation.
As the saying goes.....One swallow doesn't make a summer.

| There are so many unanswered questions at the moment,
The timing of sandy's departure is a strange one, yes he was saying he was ready to sign a new contract only last week, so what led to Hudge casting him adrift mid week before a massive game.
Were the players as close to him as we are led to believe, and if so why did this not seem to pass over to the performance on the pitch, I'm not saying the players didn't try, but sometimes we have looked clueless and one dimensional which means the coaching was limited, or the players ability is.
Rhys Lovegrove seemed to have been cast into the wilderness by Sandy until the recent spate of injuries, and yes last season his tackling was a bit suspect at times, but I have not seen a player in recent times leave more of himself on the pitch than him. Was this a simple disagreement or did Rhys not buy into Sandy's pitch.
recruitment. Goulding is a very good signing imo, but if as rumoured Burn's is on his way out, we will be needing a top quality 6 to make up for keatings's failings, and if Josh Hodge leaves, we have not got a decent hooker to fill his role so may have to replace two of our best players without even looking forward to improving the squad. and I haven't even got to Larroyer and Gardner's loan deal's ending.
All in all lots to think about and I have to presume that the Board have a good plan in place or things could downhill very quickly, and with the new role a dice to stay in the super league playoff system coming in next year, I hope it's the former.

By your comment regarding his input am I correct in saying you didn’t attend the recent forum when Chris was on the panel?
Chris said he often argued with Craig Sandercock over team matters and Craig’s reply to him was "you can do that when you are Head Coach".

| Giving Chester the chance now till the end of the season could be a good move by the board. We will be able to find out if he can get a response from the squad and if it does not work out what have we lost ? If it does it we could look forward to next season without looking for a new coach.

I changed his club name to protect his identity but alas roopy seems to have let the cat out of the bag

No unfortunately i didn't get to the recent forum due to other commitments but if as you say he argued with Sandercock regarding team matters then that is fair enough, however, I would need to know in more detail what he argued about before changing my opinion, at the end of the day he has still been responsible to a degree at least, for the performances out on the pitch imo.
I will though, reserve judgment until the end of season and if he proves my doubts about him to be unfounded then i will hold my hands up and and say well done...you deserve the job, now take us forward.

| Been told Anthony seibold is rumoured to take over from next year. I wouldn't mind this I believe he's the assistant at storm and not bad coach to have learned from in Bellamy. Has anyone else heard this?

Agar left Wakey and his No.2 Webster took over and so far Wakey have won 3 and drawn one in their last 4 games. They look a different team although it happened at the same time as Tim Smith signing on a season loan.
Chester may have a similar impact?
