This league, without wanting to be disrespectful to other teams, is to much of a breeze for this rovers side, we can mount a cup run on the side with this squad. The issue Leigh had in 2015 wasn't the mini cup run they went on, but the man they had at the helm, having them play silly rugby in their own 20.'"
Greetings, 'moxi1'.
Listen, right now I wish we (Leigh) could get into the opposing 20, to play silly rugby!

| If we get through the next round then that automatically means a fixture pile up as Dewsbury (h) is scheduled for the QF weekend. Do any of you really want a Semi Final fixture while all our middle 8 rivals put their feet up for a few days?
Not for me ta, I'll take cup glory in 2018 if it's all the same.

I'll take HKR glory in whatever form, in whatever comp, in whatever year, however fleeting. 2017, 2018, 2019 and any year for the next 3 decades thereafter. By that time, there's a fair chance I won't be around any more to care. Time to get selfish.

leigh have the weakest squad in SL bar huddersfield. It lacks quality and your best players are old. I called leigh, widnes, hudds and salford to be bottom 4 pre season and I'll be right with 3 of those predictions. hull kr have already beaten you at your place this year and their coach has forgotten more about the game this week than your coach will ever know. They'll finish above leigh in the middle 8's and I wouldn't be surprised to see leigh lose the MPG

We have been crippled with injuries/suspensions and lost direction, but i agree there are certain players not up to the task, but we are still in April and changes will be made,so come back with your relegation predictions in about 4/6 weeks.

If we keep winning we can afford to rest a few players and risk the odd fixture. A cup run won't hurt the squad. Hopefully it would give them more experience against superleague teams.
Downside is the superleague teams get a better look at us and take us more seriously as a threat in the play offs.
We have a very good coach. There are only two competitions why wish to out of one of them. Leigh capitulated in the 2015 play offs. It wasn't down to their cup run.

Not being able or prepared to adapt the style of rugby to different conditions? Thinking what won the league would also win promotion.

You were 3 scores in front at home in the first game and continued to try and score from every play. Threw the ball in touch in your own 20. Conceded from that error and fell to pieces. Did you win one game after that? Your confidence collapsed. Whether they all fell out, the coach lost it I don't know but it was shocking game management and tactics. From not losing home game all season and running us ragged for 50 minutes you then collapsed.
Compare those tactics to Sheens controlling the tempo of the game Saturday.

| A cup run playing against super league opposition to test and build the squads skill set and confidence, or no further participation allowing the team to prepare for the middle 8's with plenty of rest time and less physical stress ?
Lots of different opinions on this and I can understand both arguments.
What I do know is that the atmosphere amongst the the fans on Saturday was party central. Everyone at LSV had a ball, had a smile on their faces and it was over due.
Home games this season have been "flat" on the terraces, I don't know if that's because of a over confidence, or a lack of opposition but it's been very stail.
If we can get a couple more away day's like Saturday, that feel good factor just might start to spill over into home games and can only be good for fans and the team in preparation for the end of season challenge.
