Load of foxes around me. It was quite disconcerting to wake in the early hours a couple of weeks ago to the sound of one killing my next door neighbours chickens. Chickens do not die quietly.

I grew up in the countryside so it wasn't that traumatic. I was a bit worried about my next door neighbours kids on both sides but they weren't that bothered either!
The two and a half year old whose chickens they were just came downstairs, saw all the feathers in the garden and simply said "the fox has got my chickens daddy", and that was about it!
The seven year old on the other side thought it was brilliant as he'd just read "Fantastic Mr. Fox!"
They bread 'em tough up here mate!

Ah right, fair dues bud. To be honest I'm still a bit cautious if I'm walking and see one, no idea why cos I know they're supposedly more scared of us then we are them. Saw one this morning laid at the side of the motorway.

They'll definitely just run off, amazing creatures up close, like a vicious little dog with the agility of a cat! We used to live next to a cemetery that had loads of them in, their breeding howls coming out of the cemetery at three in the morning are eerie when you first here them to say the least.

| Been watching all five series of "The Wire" over the last six months or so, you can pick up the box set for about fifty queens. Great stuff, can't recommend it highly enough.

| Two films and three books for thirty sheets.
Although Amazon is undoubtedly evil as it's largely to blame for the demise of second book shops it does also rock.

Got seasons 1-3 on dvd and loved it - but I never bothered with 4 and 5. It just seemed like it had finsihed at the end of 3, to me. My intuition tells me that watching 4 and 5 would just chip away at the brilliance - especially having read the synopses. Couple of people have told me they are good though, so I might see if I can trick my brain in to seeing them as stand alone.
Read 'Homicide' by David Simon, the creator, a while back. Good book - not many laughs though.
Thrones is pretty good - picking up the pace now. Loving the Nahthen accents. Not The Sopranos - but what is?

Yes, I know what you mean SPOILER ALERT once Stringer Bell's dead it does feel a bit "well that's that then" SPOILER OVER, but four sort of establishes the new generation and then five wraps it all up.
"Homicide" is indeed good, once we've finished "The Wire", it's onto "Generation Kill".
Don't know "Thrones" I presume that it's on one of your fancy channels.
