| Why shouldn't fans blame the head coach? He and the Board are responsible for us going with a skinny squad this season, it was obvious to me at least, that injuries would leave us up a creek without a paddle and what happened? Along came the injuries! We seem to lack direction, our tackling is pathetic but on Monday, as with other matches this season, we came out in the second half a completely different team and promptly surrendered. What was in the team talk? Whatever it was must have deflated the team. After the Derby fiasco Sheens said strong words, not harsh, were said, it's obvious those words didn't have any effect on Friday or Monday. To sum up I think the head coach must bear the blame for our pathetic showings this season and go before it gets any worse!

| Rovers had Mulhern playing against Warrington but no other recognised props with Mose, Garbutt, Jewitt, Scruton, Greenwood & Lannon all missing with injury. Of those only Garbutt & Jewitt played against Hull but were jabbed up and shouldn't have played now they are out for weeks.
People say you should be able to cope with a bit of adversity but honestly how could having 6 props unavailable and only one fit to play not hurt you?
No coach be it Sheens, Radford or Wayne Bennett could have coached Rovers to success against Warrington. Steve Price said that they had a couple missing and so did Rovers and it seems that is how most people see it. But Rovers didn't have a couple missing they had 6 prop forwards plus Lunt, McGuire & Quinlan.
As MR says we will have to tough it out for a while.

| I don’t think the ‘skinny’ squad is the problem. The number of props we have in the squad is perfectly normal. I also think if we’d gone with 35+ players and a dearth of quality again, that’d have brought different problems.
The problem is maybe the number of players who you think, even before the season kicks off, if we get 18 or 20 games from him, that’ll be a good return. Then you get the normal random injuries, and they all land in one part of the pitch, and we’re struggling.

| I’m hearing two new signings should be completed in the next day or two for you. Should help you out of your injury situation. Just need to get the paperwork cleared by the rl and they will be announced.

| Someone told me on Tuesday night at Primary RL matches that it was Kyle Amor from Saints... Doubt it somehow.

| Amor might be a good fit for us, I did here that rumour last week but again maybe from the same dreamer? But he appears to be way down the order at saints. We do need some size up front quickly as a good chunk of our salary cap & pack weight is sat in the stands.

| In HDM Sheens stated losing Addy was a big loss because of his versatility. The fact that he sees Addy as a big loss is worrying, when most people I've spoken to think losing Addy is a bonus.

| Regarding Addy. Just a genuine question; By my own admission I'm no scholar of the game but I think I can identify when a back has a bad game Eg bad defensively, can't convert opportunities or susceptible under a high ball but I find it difficult to gauge how a forward is performing. Eg When everyone was raving about Robbie Mulhern I couldn't see what was distinguishing him from the rest.
Any subtle pointers to look out for in my next game...?

He’s an injury away from a regular place in a team that has a good shot at silverware, i assume. And then there’s the commute/need to move.
He is ooc this year, though, so I guess he might want to put himself in the shop window. Signed a 3-year with Saints in November 2016.

He’s young enough to play a couple more years, I guess (32 in May).

There is no secret to it. Basically, is he physically dominant? You can talk all you like about the wrestle, finding your front, offloading, playing at the line etc etc. But ateotd if you don't make metres and you don't hit hard you can't be a great prop. Some guys might have more strings to their bow. Some might be good ball players, some might have good footwork, some might play for 60 or 70 minutes. But what all the good ones have in common is that they bend the line and make ground.

| When confidence is low and you want the manager to come out with an epic Churchillian speach Sheen's comes out and down plays the importance of the Leeds game ffs. Stating there's plenty more games left, its only Saints after that but not to worry Tim as there'll be plenty of games left after that aswell.
IMO he's too laid back for a relegation battle, when harsh words are needed he's softly softly.
