Please read the league table and digest. We already have a better PD than Hudds who were shocking yesterday and who will lose to unbeaten Leeds. We play winless Featherstone next so our PD will be 50 points better then Huddersfield going into the last game. So In the last game we can lose as long as not by 50 clear points. Clear enough?'"
Problem is, that isn't math, that's just your opinion. Even as a Leeds fan I'm not sure we will win at Hudds now that we've done enough to guarantee safety.

What if Salford run in enough points against London & Batley to overtake our points difference?
4th will be alright...won't it?

No, absolutely crazy on your part to paint a scenario in this way.
As an ardent Rovers fan and a glass half full person, I would love your season ending synopsis above to come to fruition and perhaps it might.
However, your assertive attempts to depict a foregone conclusion scenario with 2 games to go and with multiple permutations still to play out, are deeply disrespectful to the other teams involved and an insult to our collective intelligence and recent experiences supporting this Hull KR team imo. Perhaps it's me being needlessly and cautiously realstic and over reactive towards you.
Hope you don't operate as a life coach with that level of smug arrogance and complacency on view.

In this possible, but by no means certain scenario, Hudds would only need to beat us by 25 or 26. Every point they won by would effectively count double - improving their PD and reducing ours.
I'd actually be a bit nervous about the psychology of 'defending a lead' from minute 1, especially if it was 'only' 12 or 14 points.
First things, first - Featherstone.
The other thing nagging at the back of my mind is that Salford might know they're in the MPG ahead of round 7, and can ease through their last game while we and Hudds exhaust each other.

Leeds beating Hudds is no way a given, as a few have said they are safe and may be on the beach / operating table already. But even if Leeds win by say a standard 12 and we beat Featherstone by say 40 that will give us a 50 points cushion over Hudds, Hudds beat us by 25 and that gone as has been said starting a game out at +25 is a really odd position and attitude wise could be off putting.
Equally Salford will likely match any deficit we put on Feath, so they may have to beat Batley by 50 (less any score we lose to Hudds) not unlikely at all.
Shame that Leigh collapsed a bit on Saturday, had they gone into a game against us having to win by 40+ then they may have rested a few players and made it a hell of a lot easier for us.
I think that all ends up we'll have to beat Hudds to avoid the MPG, who it will be against is anyones guess

| Let's forget about who needs to beat who and by how many! Just go out and win all three games and we should be alright.

You might want to re-do your maths.

| Already stated on another thread. I had not taken into account Leeds absences and in the end we were placed in the MPG by a drop goal that wasn't even in.
Salford will not present us with a real challenge. Sheens has walked tonight and there was enough in our second forty yesterday to show what we've got when up against it. I have no worries about survival. Another season of big changes though puts us behind the eightball. The squad including all the overseas players must be back in pre season first week of November to right the wrongs of this year's disaster.

I think Salford will present us with a challenge and judging by your last set of predictions which all turned out to be completely wrong I'd be careful what you say or you'll end up looking stupid again

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

| Said before this team has no backbone. That first half we witnessed this weekend was not unexpected. They've been doing it all year.
Write Salford off at your peril. You can be sure they'll be just as up for it as our weak knead bunch of useless s.
Just hope that Neil will cover the huge short fall in central finding that we will recieve, if we go down, tho it's his descisions that have put us in this mess. I'm truly in despair with our club at what has happened this season.
Too many knock backs this season to even try to be positive. Sorry to say, I'm expecting the worst.

A drop goal that every man and his dog who weren't wearing red and white tinted spectacles say it went in.
Even so, underestimate Salford at your peril. While I think they will go down, it'll be close.
And for the record, it went in.

Its a complete moot point, most I have heard said it was difficult to say, but the man who mattered thought it did. If it had been ours then we would allbe convinced it was through the middle. We need to drop the victim act, we got a fair few 'calls' our way and in the end the decision to try and push a pass and not go for the 1 before DB did has cost us big time. Lets get some positive vibes going around the team and hopefully Salford bottle it more than we do.
Am I confident of a win, no. It'll be a horrible game, great for the winner, awful for the loser but win or lose I'll be there next year I just might get a parking spot a bit easier.
