On a serious note, I have witnessed some poor and inconsistent officiating at live games and on most televised games this year, but that referee at our game against the Wire last Friday should never take charge of a SL fixture ever again. Beyond crap.

Sadly there are incidents of varying severity in many games that go unreported and those that do come before the RFL disciplinary committee are subject to wild and inconsistent variations in interpretation and subsequent punishment. Again beyond crap.

Finally, Cox was flinging repeated punches at Green, albeit mainly air shots, up to the point he went down like a sack of spuds. Why no yellow card at least or citation on Cox? Inconsistent and beyond crap.

Fans of all clubs seem to think there club is badly done to its usually the teams fans that are at the wrong end of the table mainly because the teams at the top are winning so the fans are less inclined to have anything to moan about

Like almost everyone else I followed the ball so I don't know how it started, but Green clearly reacted to something & I assume the officials must also have witnessed something to give us the penalty. What I did see as Pickering Red has pointed out was two players going toe to toe trading punches. Cox threw punches, albeit not very good ones. Green was / is being treated differently for landing the best one.

Exactly. Refs are often inept but I don't believe any are dishonest. When you play a better team things seem to go against you because they play at a higher tempo and you're often hanging on and trying to slow them down

Most of the big decisions were made by the referee after consulting the linesman. The referee did the right thing so he can't be blamed if the linesmen are giving him duff information. I could go into a very long winded post on how the crowds are blinkered but it would only cause an argument. ATEOTD the referee does not lose you a game (unless you're Steve Ganson), it is the players who lose the game.

Bottom line is whatever Cox did or didn't do Green flattened him, which by definition is an attack on the head which will result in a ban. As for wire never getting done for this, Ashton Sims got a 2 match ban the other week for punching when he was clearly defending himself in a more obvious way from someone trying to attack him.

This conspiracy stuff is rubbish, I've still yet to hear anyone say they actually saw this headbutt, most of us only saw the aftermath which was Cox flapping around and Green decking him. Yes we got the penalty but that was for Cox leading with the elbow, not a sending off or a ban deserving offence. Struggling to see much problem apart from Green lost his head under provocation.

I try not to be blinkered as most and will probably get shot down for it.

I totally agree with you how many do we shout forward at the opposition passes but when our own team does one there's a muffled we got away with that one all fans are bias to a certain extent refs give bad decisions every week it's just the way it is what goes around comes around

Find it ironic fc fans saying suck it up..watched fc v hudd in my local which is predominantly darkside. They were screaming at ref saying he was bent in fact he was directly responsible for 12 hudds points and they only lost by 10.thats myopic.hull have stunk the tv out last 3 times.no plan b when forwards don't grind teams down.funny how Houghton and sneyd were anonymous without time and space.as for green and Cox I feel both should have seen red

I didn't see the incident,but when Wire TV tell Smith "he seemed to headbutt James Green" the Yorkshire Post mention the headbutt and that Cox aimed a punch at him as he got to his feet I would assume something did happen

We do tend to look through rose tinted glasses when watching out own team. As for green he deserves a ban but boy what a punch

Regardless as to whether cox head butted Green Green shouldn't have reacted like that as you can never get away with punching now so was bound to get sent off
