| Extremely sad news for everyone connected with this club.
I consider myself fortuntate as a young boy to have witnessed first hand the terrific skills of a remarkable player,(Roger the dodger) he was also a gentleman of the pitch.
The word legend is sometimes used a little casually these days but this man really was a true legend of the game, we're unlikely to see his like again, at least not in most of our lifetimes anyway.
R.I.P Roger, you will be sorely missed.

| RIP Roger, a true legend of the sport.
Not many true greats, but he was certainly one of them.
My thoughts and condolences to his wife, family and the Hull KR club.
He will be sadly missed

| I remember seeing him as a 16 year old playing junior rugby on TV
He was a star then but looked much too small to make it in what was a brutal professional game. Well he proved me and many others wrong. He wasn't a star, he was a superstar. As a Warrington supporter sometimes it hard to appreciate the skills of an opponent, but in Rogers case that wasn't a problem at all. Thanks for the memories Roger.

| Am truly gutted. He was the main reason I started watching Hull Kingston Rovers in the '70's, to me and am sure to many others he was Hull Kingston Rovers! He played and was at the helm for undoubtedly our greatest period, we won every trophy there was to win, some more than once. God bless Roger and my deepest sympathy to all his family x

| Isn't 3rd May also the date of your Wembley triumph when Roger captained the side?

| A regret of mine that I wasn't a few years older so I could really appreciate how much of a superstar this guy was. Very humble man and a person who will always have a lasting legacy in our club. Sad, sad day. I'm truly gutted.
R.I.P Roger.

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

| It has been a privilege to watch the master play. I have so many great memories of him as both a player and a coach. The win at Wembley with a broken jaw, taking on the Aussies in test matches and coaching rovers in their most successful period. He was a small man with such a brave heart. Nothing ever fazed him, he would always beat brawn with sublime skill. For me he is the best player to ever put on a rovers shirt, a true legend. RIP Roger the Dodger.

| When the opposition 'hate' a player but you know they would do anything to snatch him up if they could, you know how good that player really is.
I saw Roger play both live and on TV for you and GB a class act on the field and in the interviews I have seen and read.
Bracketed along with Neil Fox, Alex Murphy and a few others he was a veritable 'giant' of our game.
Condolences to his family and Hull KR there will never be another Roger 'the dodger' Millward.

| RIP Roger Millward. One of the game's greats and THE club legend. So sad to hear of his death, taken from us way too early.
Saw him make his debut for our beloved team back in 66 I think. It was just after my birthday I remember that. What a player, what a bloke!
I am lucky enough to have watched him, admired him, met him and remembered him. I have a lump in my throat looking back fondly. Thank you Roger.

| I was lucky to see him when I was younger. Always carried himself as a gentleman.
In an arena where your courage is constantly tested Roger's bravery was beyond question. His calmness and ability as good as any.
As an international and club player one of the very best. Went to Australia and succeeded there.
As a coach was an innovator and a won everything.
Our greatest player
Our greatest coach
To be one is an incredible achievement. To be both is truly remarkable.
A fitting tribute should be made to this fabulous rugby man.
So sorry you've left us. Condolences to your friends and family.
