I know Kevin Larroyer is one of them but who's the other and what type of injuries are they as far as you know.?

Both teams had very strong sides out. We lost Larroyer who was stretchered off in the first set of the game whilst Albert Kelly also limped off. Smashed on the pitch and picked up worrying injuries with not many positives.
Was confident going into the game which is now left me worried.

| I guess reality has set in then, I did question if last week we just beat a average hull side and this week would be the real test to see were we are at and I'm guessing were looking at the same old story

Why not? Saints played Wigan today. They will have beat ten bags of the proverbial out of each other.

After the friendly win against hull last week, wouldnt a match against a championship side or lower to build our confidence be a better bet.I know you can pick injuries up against anybody but for me warrington and catalans are the 2 toughest sides physically in superleague and should not be our last warm up game IMO.

We had a tough derby v hull last week, why would we want another tough game pre season ? The easiest warm up game in theory v halifax,we played mostly reserves. You think that makes sense,2 hard games within 7 days pre season for the 1st team?

only if we beat said opposition if we lose to a championship side how low would confidence have been then.Shame about the performance and result but better this weekend than 1st week of season maybe a wake up for players and fans alike today

No point in playing average sides like last week (no real disrespect intended to Hull) which only serves to lull everyone into a false sense of security.
By playing a top side like Warrington it gives us a much better idea of just where we are at currently and what needs to be done to reach the standards required to compete at the top.
To be honest I half expected to get beat convincingly today though not quite thus admittedly, winning today with so many new players only playing their second game together and against a side like Warrington, who in my opinion will still be at the top or thereabouts by the end of the season was always going to be a big ask.
Having said that there are some worrying signs that need to be addressed very quickly, especially it seems in defense, it will be interesting to hear what Chris Chester had to say in his after match comments.

| Chester will have learned more about the side from a hiding at Wire than if we'd bullied a lower league side with a strong team, it's got nowt to do with confidence. If we want to compete in this division we need to "man up". Today will have showed the team and staff how far off we are, and it sounds like a long way. No point going into the Leeds game being deluded, we have enough deluded fans without the squad joining in.

This.
The new players now know that this is the standard and intensity they will face against Leeds. Only times 10.

Tbf, aspiration among fans on both sides on KuH RL divide seems to be realistic and limited to making the top 8. I don't think I've seen a fan of either suggest their team will make the play-offs. Campese said it's what Rovers should be aiming for, but today may have brought home the reality of what Craig Sandercock used to refer as the 'team full of internationals'. For us the slight mitigation is that Wire are a team that will expect to make the play-offs. For Hull, at least it was 1 part first-team, to 2 parts fringe squad members. But if there is a third league derby, I'd guess right now that'd it be in amongst fixtures against London, Bradford and Leigh.
Still, s'only pre-season innit? No need to get too disheartened yet.
