The impression have always had of Sandercock is that he knows what he's doing and is building the playing side of the club from the ground up. That takes time. If he's still with Rovers in 5 years the club will be unrecognisable even from where we are today. That's how long I would give him. 5 years from now, give him stability and I believe that he will deliver consistent improvement in all aspects of the playing side of Hull KR.

I read an article yesterday about Flanagan signing on as coaching director of Salford for 3 months while he serves out his suspension in Australia. They interviewed disgraced sports scientist Stephen Dank and he said he looked forward to when Salford played 'his side HKR' - the article went on to say Dank is working with HKR.
I suppose Dank would have worked with Sandercock at Manly in the notorious cow's blood era.
I'm not sure what to make of that. Dank is obviously on the cutting edge of sports suppliments, and he claims everything he did at Cronulla and Essondon was legal at the time.

I don't even see it as the emperor's new clothes, most people are underwhelmed by him and but don't see much better options. I don't see the need for a new contract right now, We've had a few good games, couple against poor teams the others where ok, I still don't see us any further on than when he joined so him signing a new contract just leaves me feeling a bit so what...

Go on t'other forum and tell me most people are underwhelmed. I'm amazed how a couple of wins against sides we should be beating have everyone falling over themselves. Its like Groundhog Day.

I think I'm the only person on the planet that doesn't know or this t'other forum you speak of! And regarding Sandercock i wanted him out beginning of the year but I'm willing to give him abit more time i think we're looking pretty good at the minute

He's doing what he is known for developing youth. Salter, Cox, green have shown that. adam walker (i no walker was from hudds) but has shown some real quality since he's been with us. That must be down to sandy?

Fair comment but is 1 negative out of 4 or 5 positive players bad in your eyes then?

No but then I dont credit all development of players down to him. What I do know is we won 4 games in a row last year, leading to a new contract. After 7th July we then proceeded to win 1 game until March.

I would have left his contract in the safe until the end of the season before either offering him an extension, or burning the bugger. He's overseen us treading water for 2 1/2 years IMO.
