einstien said insanity is when a person does the same thing over and over again but expects a different result: |
|
| A decent full back couple of good wingers a centre couple of half backs a fit pack that should do it

30 Stone?
Wigan not quite firing yet + a couple of key players missing, think it could be close. Wigan by 10

Ultimately, the book stops with the gaffer. He could have argued about the squad he took on up to the start of this season, but that excuse can't be played now. He obviously saw our poor defence and thought he'd beef up the pack, but that's been done (with limited effect thus far) at the expense of attention to the glaring lack of pace & quality in the 3/4 line. Eden is the only decent back we have, and he doesn't seem capable of ironing out the inconsistencies in his game. Dont get me started on the limitations of the halves!
I don't think Hudgell will allow the situation to drag on long. If we have anything less than 5 points by the end of March I can see Sandercock paying the price. I think that would be the fairest thing to do.

Thought Hudge said review of coach would be Easter? If Sandy goes who would you bring in ?

| Shaun Wane might be looking for a job, but for that to happen we'd have taken two points from them putting us one step closer to keeping Sandy.

Thankfully, that's not my job. I don't even know who would be available, but there are only so many 1st grade jobs available in the world, so I suspect there would be plenty of applicants.
If we don't win our next 2 home games, there really isn't any point in delaying another 3 weeks to Easter as the intervening period (Wire away) won't change a thing.

| As we'd still have to pay Sandy I would guess that we'd just get on with the job in hand with Craig knowing that he won't be kept on after this year is out and we would start the process once again.
If however things do change I would look at James Webster being given a chance. A lot of work for whoever comes in to do but James has a lot of support from the Craven Park faithful and some glowing references from players he's both played alongside and coached. I would hope that his brother would come back on board as he too was seen as an even better coach but I believe he couldn't become a first team coach here until he's at least been an assistant coach in the NRL??

| Initially I felt like most this Friday would be a thankful task, but the more I think about it the more confident I am becoming.
Lets get it right this is nowhere near the Wigan side of last season, that been said we have to lift our game massively to be in with a genuine shout, the players owe the coach and the supporters a proper performance.
I would definitely start with our best forward last year Adam Walker, he has started off the bench in all the games for some reason. Poore and Weyman are tackling ok but not making big yards so need to give more. And the backs need to go back to basics and start passing, catching and tackling like professionals and not under 6s.
Wake up Rovers!

| I'm apprehensive about this game. We have been looking shakey all season, our kicking is shocking at the moment, our fullback (if it's Bowen) is still getting used to the game and we can't seem to perform is lockers isn't playing.
Should be a good game either way

How do you work that one out? I said you'd lose to saints by 12-18 points (nearly right, bl00dy luke walsh and his 90%+ kicking accuracy) and that you wouldn't get the bumming most on here predicted. I don;t think wigan are up to much and if o'loughlin isn't playing you mght just nick it. Would be a typical sandy result - pulling an unexpected win out of the bag when he's under pressure

Pay him off & get rid if the decision is made. Hanging on all year could cost more than the 6 months left on his contract. Best case would be dwindling gates, worst would be that plus relegation! Not worth the risk for a measly 10 grand.
