| Quote: JEAN CAPDOUZE "As an outsider to Hull KR I ask this question not with glee but with genuine interest in what is going to happen in 2014, when restructuring will be organised based on where the clubs finish up. (There is no doubt that whatever new system is chosen, the top tier competition of Super League will be reduced to 12 clubs at the maximum).
Dobson will be impossible to replace. He was a star not only at Hull KR, but before that at Catalans and Wigan. There are just not enough quality scrum halves in NRL, let alone Super League, to replace him with similar quality. The exciting scrum half prospect in Australia is Sam Williams, who is a reserve at Canberra. But he is not yet the finished product. It would be a risk throwing him into the battle of Super League without proper preparation Down Under.
Add on the loss of Cory Paterson, who has been outstanding for Hull KR, and you can see that the club's strike power will be diminished (Costigan can be a good defender, but not much in attack, certainly nothing compared to Paterson).
My projection is that Hull KR is going to drop to the bottom 4 in 2014. If so, where it sits in the bottom 4 will determiine which division it starts out in for the 2015 season.
Again, though I am a follower of Catalans (who are currently underperforming) and London (who are dire), I can assure you that I write this not in glee but just trying to be realistic.
Do Hull KR fans agree?'"
What a Complete load of cobblers!

| lol.
Paterson has missed a few games this year and we've done just fine without him to be fair. The scrum half position will be tough to fill but I have enough confidence our head coach will be able to secure a very decent replacement for Dobson. He was always going to leave at some point, or retire etc, no player lasts forever.
We'll be just fine thank you for your concern. We've been largely written off by most people and still could end up in the top four

| Dobson will be impossible to replace, we ain't going to get anyone in who can have an immediate impact that would make up for his departure.
As for Paterson, well ain't going to be much of a loss tbh. Paea is a far bigger loss, best prop I have seen in the comp this season.
The Costigan arrival has dampened the blow a little.

| KR fans will probably think this is as sacriligeous (spell) as farting in church, but if Dobson and Beau Henry were both coming to the Knights next year, i'd have higher hopes for Beau Henry. He might not be firstgrade ready right now, but he has unlimited potential.
Your biggest worry with him will be that if Sandercock can get him playing anywhere near his potential he will get a flood of NRL offers for 2015.

| Dobson knows how to organise and get a team around the park, something a lot of youngsters take years to learn. Hopefully if we do bring in a young half, Burns can take up a lot of Dobsons duties and give a young lad time to develop these skills.

| Rovers will be fine, absolutely fine we've already made the most important signing which is Craig Sandercock.
You just can't underestimate the impact Dobson has had but life goes on and I am very sure we will have a good player wearing No. 7 next season. And we have Burns too who is becoming equally influential. It was a case of shock horror when Dobson was a late withdrawal for the Easter derby game at the KC but guess what, we won very easily without him.
Lots of people will assume we can't play without Dobson but if they all want to underestimate us that's fine.
I look at the players we will have wearing Nos 1-6 and it's a match for most and like I say we will have someone decent at 7 too.
Our forwards are really coming along now and although Paea & Paterson are good players we will have quality replacements.
Our big weakness has been defence but there has been massive improvement recently and if we take that into 2014 we will have no problem whatsoever.
My advice would be to put some money on Rovers making the play offs in 2014 because with everyone writing us off you'll probably get a good price.

I try to go easy on moderation. Too much of it is bad for you.
