| Quote: General Zod. "He's extremely unlikely to sign for another SL club and if he does, it won't be because they have offered more money.'" Apart from the Dragons (to play with his brother) why would he leave Rovers for another SL club unless it was for more money? I suspect he is keen on the NRL as they pay well but the other thing is that he can prepare for life after rugby better if he is near home, it is difficult to do that from the other side of the world.

Obviously money talks but do you really think that that reasons like the chance to win some trophies, and indeed not worrying if your employer is going to go bust don't count for something?

| Tbf, security could be a reason. If somebody offered him a 3 or 4 year deal and he can be pretty certain they're financially secure and not at realistic risk of relegation, that has to be more attractive. We don't know exactly where we're at as a club, or even what the structure of SL will be beyond 2014. Wigan will be alright though, you can be fairly sure of that.
His preference seems to be for the NRL, which makes sense. If he can't strike a deal there (which'd be strange IMO), Wigan offers security and a good shot at silverware, there's a lot to be said for the South of France, especially with family there and Hull... well I'd be slightly surprised as he doesn't seem tied to the area, but they are losing some top earners and there isn't an awful lot else to spend it on, on the ooc list.

| Very good player and certainly up there with the top 3 props in the league. Much respect for him for clarifying his position and I would definitely predict a gig in the NRL.
However no respect for his agent who's not only saying paea is to good for the club, but to good for SL! No player is bigger then any club, especially a club with a proud history in HKR. Massively disrespectful in a lot of things he says in the article.

| He must be going back to NRL I heard he promised Rovers he would not go to another Super League Club if he didnt go to NRL. Or he speaks with forked tongue.
He has had a great season this year best he has played whilst he has been at rovers,is it because his contract is up,same as Mica, Ill leave that open for discussion.
Good luck to him whatever he does, will be missed but someone will take his place no doubt. I agree with comments regarding what will be happenning to Superleague after next year, would take a lot of thinking about if you were a rovers player coming out of contract this season

| Shame really, if he'd got the assurances he was after regarding your club he'd have signed.
Signed for FC.

I don't see him every week like you guys do, but he's spoke about very highly by the fans, and he doesn't miss a game. An excellent trait in a prop.

| Already agreed a deal in the NRL.
Been a great signing and wish him all the best for the future.

No he hasn't.
Why wouldn't he announce it if that was the case? His move to Hull isn't being announced as he knows what reception he'll get, it's McDonnell all over again.

| Wouldn't swap him for any prop in SL - and that is why I think he'll most likely get another shot at the NRL, if that is his preference.
He'd be a fantastic signing for any SL club, including Hull, but I don't think his agent would have been so down on our competition, if he wasn't confident of sorting something out over there. The multiple SL offers, I suspect is a case of trying to get some solid nrl deals on the table sooner. A bit like Prince, rather than McDonnell. The fact he's off matters more to me than the destination. We definitely need a replacement, that's for sure.

Either he's lying to you, or you're just lying. I know where my money is.

| I know where mine is.
Signing for Hull is a non-starter.
