You're new. Have we met before? I know Rovers are rich enough to be shelling out transfer fees, but does that automatically mean enough cash for more coaching staff?

This. They will always give 100% but the question is do they care.

I'm convinced that our Chairman humiliated the players into that Warrington performance after the embarrasment at Salford. The coach couldn't possibly motivate them.
2 wins later, pressure off and we revert to type. No doubt we will beat Cas before losing 4/5 on the spin as the opposition improves throughout Easter & all April.

| Questioning whether the players give their all just because we have out in a bad performance? Some fans in this city need to get a grip.
No player will ever go out and put in a half hearted performance because everyone who has ever played the game knows that is when people get hurt.
We lost to a Bradford side who, in all honesty, didn't have to be particularly good to win. That's down to bad individual performances all over the park but particularly from key players.
Do you think it's a coincidence that Dobson having one of his quietest games in a Rovers shirt coincided with numerous other players having a mare?

| 34 missed tackles and 7 penalties in the first 25 minutes may have been a problem! But my worry is the distinct lack of enthusiasm at the start of games!

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Bang right, half heartedly tackling an eighteen stone prop is a sure fire way to spending the next twelve weeks recovering from reconstructive shoulder surgery.

There's no other way to describe that than shameful. There's simply no excuse for that. I know this isn't a vintage Bradford side but Odsal is always a tough place to go, starting like that gives you virtually no chance.

| I think Rovers and probably every other team always go out to give 100%.
But it is very hard for most teams to maintain top intensity every week and everyone has flat performances where the energy levels are not as high as you would want.
ANY team playing at top intensity can get a good result, Cas beating Leeds, Rovers beating Warrington etc. That's why it's dangerous to write any team off on a given day. Top intensity can often occur after a team has hit rock bottom (eg Rovers at Salford, Hull at Widnes). It can be harder to do it after a couple of wins. How many teams have won 3 games straight this season?
Bradford were somewhere near top intensity on Sunday and Rovers were flat, there could only be one outcome. But it wouldn't be out of the question for the roles to be reversed on another day.
The better teams are more intense more often, obviously. But that doesn't mean the others aren't trying.

8 of our 21 points last season were picked up in away fixtures, with another 2 at MM. And 2 of 6 so far this. So slightly, but that is not unusual.
Wakefield, Salford, Hudds and Widnes last year and London this, so not too many impressive scalps. Doing a double over Hudds was nice though after a few years of very poor results against them. And apart from a draw with Saints and a couple of wins against Wire, we've not pulled up too many trees at home either.
Very 'transitional', whether in a caterpillar-butterfly kind of way of a Dr Jekyll - mr Hyde stylee, I'm not sure.

Hull are as bad away from home but obviously more consistent at home

| IMO you can definitely sense a serious lack of effort and committment in many games under Sandercock. This no doubt will be controversial, but in my opinion it seems to happen more with our overseas players than homegrown (Mika and Paea for a start both want sacking). Years ago when it was 11 or 12 Hull-born lads in the team you very rarely saw less than 100%, but a lot of current players play like they just don't give a s**t.
I think the point about guaranteed pay was an excellent one put it that way.

Paea has good spells roofs but agree about mika he doesn't look interested after ten minutes which is a shame cos he cud be big for kr, were missing newts and Vella and galea they pulled the rovers shirt on and the passion was there for all to see, sadly I'm not seeing that this season from a lot of the players.

| I think calling Paea is a bit much him and Lovegrove are the only forwards we have who consistently give us go forward. Mika needs spelling he clearly isn't fit enough to play 80 mins the way he plays the game if we had another decent back rower we would of got the best out of Mika which makes the decision to get rid of Galea look more foolish as he was another who needed spelling towards the end of his time with us. We are so short in the pack it would be nice to bring Cox, Green and Walker on in time but due to O'Hara's injury and the lack of depth in the squad we expect them to be brilliant now when truth be told it could take 3 or 4 years to get any real consistency out of any of them. We keep being told we have a lack of depth in our squad yet we have 30 professionals and most clubs have between 25 an 27? Sadly Sandy inherited players such as Latus and Beaumont on contracts and it's obvious he doesn't rate them(even though hopefully RB will prove him wrong on sunday) I think we can't accuse players of not giving 100% as that's ridiculous we just have to realise that we are massively in transition and so many of the players are works in progress(Eden, Caro, Brown, Salter, Carille, Cox, Walker, Green, Mika and Griffin to name a few) and if half of them become good players and stay at the club then Sandy has done a decent job with the resources he has been given which are well under what JM was given.
