| Tarquin seems to be someone who has inside information about a number of clubs. Must be nice to know the financial details, especially about players salaries.

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

The one problem there is Lovegrove is one of the interchanges and the skipper needs to be on the field for as long as possible IMO, Dobbo is an obvious choice, but it might take him away from his creative duties. If Hall is given a regular position, he would be worth a punt at skipper.

Rovers will struggle with getting out of the bottom 3 next season , they are cutting about 500,000 off their cap and paying existing players less (Lovegrove for one ).
This really impacts on performance and moral and with no real leaders you will struggle. If this ws happening at FC I would be fearing the worst due to the above - MORAL .
Bulls , if they stay in SL , will do the same , cut back to 1 million on the cap as they strive to break even. Maybe FC will in 2 years time as AP runs out of patience if we don't break 14,ooo or make a Final etc'"
Spot on. Lovegrove stayed for a pay cut.
In other news, flying pigs spotted over West Park.

Absolute Rubbish, the players you speak of and seem to think you know on a personal basis are quite happy to stay at the club, in fact Lovegrove is on record as saying he was more than happy to have signed a deal for his extended stay at the club even though he apparently had other offers elswhere.
With regards to cutting the wage bill, that is a sensible move given the current climate and the state of the rugby leagues finances as a whole, at the end of the day all clubs have to get value for their money invested, but players such as Clinton and Webster for example were poor value for money, we will get much better value from the players who will be replacing them imo.
If i were a Hull fan i would be praying that Adam Pearsons speculative gamble of pays off and they achieve success plus the 14000 or so they will need every week to break even because if thing dont work out, then Hull Fc could well find themselves in a similar position to the Bradford Bulls current one in a few years time.

LOL - that is NOTHING and I mean nothing more than pure wishful thinking and fantasy !
Do you really now think by cutting the wage bill by 600k a year that somehow every player you have signed is fantastic despite being paid peanuts.
You pay peanuts ..................

If you are intent on coming on here, expecting us to believe you know the remuneration policies of a company 10,000 miles from where you live, it would help your credibility if you could at least know how to use the quote function.
It's not rocket science idiot*!

We're not cutting the wage bill by that much though, so it's something of a redundant question. I don't know if you're stupid enough to believe that or merely think we are.
The stuff that [isome[/i Hull fans say about Rovers on the Hull board is absurd and reflects their hopes and attitudes more than reality. That's fine, but we're not going to use it to frame discussion or debate over here. Waste of time, as much as anything.

Listen, I was one of his critics when we signed him, but he has proven me wrong. He is a talented footballer, like his dad and had a good rugby brain, which could make him a good choice for someone to skipper a side.

It's all about opinions - but sorry, I'm really not seeing it. Done well this year, but he'd not be in my top 10 for captain.

| As good a player as I think Hally is he's not captain material.
Similarly with Sam Tomkins, being a captain isn't about your playing ability, you have to have the right 'stuff' and that is something neither of these players have.

| Lovely footballer but lacks concentration and bravery and agree withe Mild rover just let him develop and improve as a player,if he improves again next year we have a player! A settled position will also benefit his progression @ 6 for me, and get him to take responsibility for defending, i think by moving him around defensively all the time says to him the coach and the team dont trust me in defence.
