Quote: Mrs Barista "You are all pale, ginger, Brylcreemed imitations of me, and utterly inadequate. Here, have a Baristathon, not done this for a bit.

Interesting week for Hudgell's "Challenging for honours" era. Defeat at Odsal. Talismanic Murrell binned off. Green takes it upon himself to stand on a handy box in the changing room to announce his departure, presumably unsanctioned given the club source response. Club academies merge and, crazily, Neil has to allow the registered office of the new entity to be the KC stadium. Good lad, Adam, we know who wears the trousers in that arrangement already. Agar, a subject of ridicule on both sides of the city for 4 years, practises his best Braveheart rallying cry to Wakefield, the form team of the competition. And the best effort to mask the odour of this swirl of plopitude is not even to announce a signing early, but to put a rumour of a 12 match bannee signing out there early. My, oh my. Oh, and the filing deadline for Rovers accounts is just 2 weeks away. Busy times. Frantic, even. Did I mention David Howes or the pitch? I'll keep them warm, then.'"

And on the sunny side of the city where all is well with the world..............

Adam Pearson takes over a money pit of a club, files the clubs accounts showing a loss, a loss that should be even higher but for the fact that he instructed his accountants to include his players as assets (and we all know how much RL players are worth).

It then dawns on Adam that he has to get down on his knees and beg the Hull supporters to buy tickets and season passes, he then falls out with the Allams, who he then has to negotiate a new stadium deal with (I bet that went well).

You started the season as top two hopefuls and now you are over the moon with mid table, you are losing your best players next season and replacing them with a bunch of average SL players and one very good player in Ellis (who will win you the double on his own, so all you Hull fans think).

Hull will not make any money next year either according to Mr Pearson so he will have to dig deep again, we are lucky as we have supporters in charge that have underwritten our debts for the last few years, we all know what happens when business men get tired of losing money.

Quote: Houghtons Heroes "The action is. Running at a defender with knee-raised can only serve to injure an opponent while ensuring the attacker is protected. The fact he did it twice in the same game is stupidity in itself.'"

Whatever.

Meanwhile, back in the real world, a young man making his debut in Super League makes a mistake. A mistake of a technical nature that, given minimal time can be coached out of his game. The governing body, recognising that this young man doesn't play for Leeds or Wigan decide to punish him harshly.

Hardly makes him McGoldprick does it?

You need to learn to read. All of Mrs B's info was from this WEEK.

Do keep up.

We're well aware of the money situation at Hull. As I'm sure you are at Rovers, hence the reason you had a loan of £1m from Allam. Or shouldn't your money-men have bankrolled that?

The last few months under Pearson have been a breath of fresh air after the Hetheringtons and Rule. We have a driven businessman at the helm with a passion for turning our club into a success and it's hard not to be positive for the next few years. We're in the best league position for quite some years despite a crippling injury list and having to draft in loan players.

Makes a mistake TWICE and no, it's not a technical mistake, it's a genuine attempt to injure, which is why he was banned. Geddit!

And your ridiculous statement about Leeds/Wigan is just stupid too, unless you think that a panel of people from all areas of the country decide a punishment based on a postcode?

Why mention McGoldrick? Was he at Red Hall on Tuesday?

Pathetic attempt.

Best league position for years?

Try same as last year and worse than 2010 (at the same stage).

You know La Café then I assume, you know, to quote her as a friend.

You must.

You also have an intimate knowledge of our accounts.

You. Know. Know Nothing. About. Anything.

Even Mk. V Ford Escorts.

Desist immediately.

Yeah, first and only unfriendly warning.

I guess you are one of the many Hull fans that have been sucked in again, it will all end in tears, I await the Pearson out campaign in two years. icon_biggrin.gif

Pearsons track record is not good, he would not spend any of his own money on City and almost put Derby out of business!!

Like I said, utterly inadequate.
Player valuations are reserve movements only and impact profit not one jot.
Chairman asking the fans for support shocker. Let's see what Hudgell has to say in the next month or so.
Link some comments having us as expecting Top 2, please. Oh, wait....in the same place as all Hull fans expecting the double. Nul points, cockle.
As for losing money, Rovers will have no more of it, apparently. Good. And AP is adopting the stance of Hudgell 8 years ago. Tally ho! HDM comments section is thataway icon_arrow.gif

Apologies, hadn't read any of this and came in half cocked as usual.

I didn't say it would impact on the profit & loss directly, but it does impact on the value of the business, accountants can do wonderful things with "assets" as I am sure you well know as you try yourself to hide the fact that counting the players as assets is a farce, its a figure that can be anything you want!

Take the players out of the accounts and do the SFP again!!! lets see what comes out!!!
