| Anyone who isn't near enough 100% able to play, shouldn't be risked. Not worth it, whether we're playing Wire/Widnes/Bradford - it's too early in the season to be rushing players back into action.

I would imagine that there will be a clause in the aggreement, which allows Rovers to bring any or all of them back if a situation arrises that requires such an action.

No, we'd have scored 20 points less with his attack, seen wet farts gain more ground, and solid in defence is fine but surely thats part of any forwards job???

| Give over, 20 points less? We'd have scored 36 point's less if Hall didn't switch positions depending on whether we're defending or attacking, That's not to say Lovegrove (our top tackler) shouldn't get in the starting line-up.
Netherton is a great servant to the club and goes out giving 100%, He doesn't have to and many haven't (Clinton?), What more can we ask of him? He really doesn't deserve the derogatory comments he receives on this forum.

He's as good as he can be, but if all are fit he wouldnt feature. He may feature this weekend and put in a solid performance but we will never win a trophy with his like in the forwards. Dont get me wrong you always need players like nev who will step up with no grumbles. Its a squad after all.

| We'll not win a trophy with a squad of people who couldn't give a toss if we win, lose or draw.
People like Nev and Murrell are just the players who always put in their all and while they may be weaker in area's than other squad members, their commitment cannot be questioned, When we're defending set after set on our own line, Netherton plays a big part in that whether he's involved in each tackle or not, Murrell on the other hand - "Fat, slow Murrell" who quite often gets the team spirit up with a great strong tackle on someone twice his size or a well timed 40/20 following a defensive onslaught.
Players like these are harder to replace than Ben Fisher or Clint Newton.

Think we'll agree to disagree.

Players like Nev will not make you the meters to take that same pressure off that he is so good at defending.
It is a double edged sword.
In defence he will make the tackles but in offence he won't get you away from your own line.
It all depends what you want I suppose.
A player that makes 5 less tackles but makes you 60/70/80 more meters over the course of a game has to play IMHO.
