Its still too early to tell if Morgs has dropped a clanger by releasing him.
In fairness not too many of the young players he has released have gone on to have lengthy SL careers as yet but Andy Ellis and Frankie may be 2 that go against the grain.
Out of interest to the Wakey fan how did Tommy Lee play last night.

Andy Ellis was on the bench for the grand final at Warrington & Morgan never let him on the field even for the last five. He then went to Barrow were he was Championship player of the year (he actualy worked at rovers while playing for Barrow) I am glad to see him get his chance in superleague, I know Hodgson is a good prospect but Ellis was already here & club trained he would have been a ready built replacement for Fisher. |

You are correct I dont know why I got that wrong? was he 18th man? as I am sure he was dressed & out on the pitch for the warm up. I follow what Andy does(& any ex Rovers) as I have watched him play since a very young lad By the way it is not a moan it is my opinion. |

Quite agree, although I'm not sure the likes of Mariano and Tommy Lee would've been given the same opportunities at your club if your finances hadn't been so precarious.
What it does do though is provide more evidence to suggest that if you give these lads a chance, if they've got the ability and the desire, they'll take it.

I really don't think Frankie was given the chance he deserved at Rovers, he only played 1 first team game last season and he showed up well. I think this is one decision that will come back to haunt us.
I hope the likes of of Scott Taylor are given their chances, these lads need game time.
