Galea's fine, thanks for asking?
Is it true Esther Rantzen is in Hull this week to launch her new charity 'Hame Line'. They're manning the phones on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights so any concerned black and white can phone in if they notice any Tongan enforcers that are being picked on by the other boys on the playground. Expect to be able to buy the 'Dont bully the Mafia' wrist bands anytime soon.

Must have just picked a name out of a bag that day because the only thing he was good at was getting smashed on his arris every time he got the ball

Our pack can handle the rough stuff without resorting to hitting a player while he's on the floor. Newton never moaned about anything, where did you hear that?

| Fantastic performance from Clinton who was also backed up by a very good pack. His new go faster hair cut certainly had an effect!
Its hard to single players out when they played so well together but again I was impressed with Hodgson and Netherton, both in good form at the moment.
As for the backs, well Welham looks a different player over the last few weeks, full of confidence and showed it. Dobson was outstanding and his kicking game was back to its best for most part of the game. We showed alot of good support play which was a joy to watch at times and how about Foxy, pure class.
Best team performance of the season so far for me.

Like Murrell on Horne, Newton on Hame etc.
Our pack can handle the rough stuff as they proved when they beat you on your own muck. Personally I loved the derby (nothing to do with the result), I just loved the physicality of the game.

Oh yes those two legal tackles on your players, while O'meley resorted to swinging arms to players heads whilst on the floor and Luiaki was trying to punch anything in sight and was rightly penalised everytime

Nothing wrong with that soft lad, any other player apart from that liability would have just got up and played the ball.
So where was Newton complaining about the 'rough wire pack'?? Can we expect Morgan to go to the HDM tomorrow and complain about lack of protection?

No, Morgan's usual line after a Wire game is to moan about several broken jaws which turn out to be complete fabrications

Have mentioned this on a number of occasions recently but as soon as Bailey does it to one of their players(allegedly yesterday), its all uproar once again on their forum.
It was Parker gouging Longs eyes out the other week, then our pack using illegal tactics in nearly every tackle, not one of then deserving of any type of match bans and now they are going mad about Bailey.
Maybe its that most supporters thought they had the biggest, most toughest and most intimidating pack of forwards in which in reality, it just aint true.
And Paul, this aint a pop at you as I read your post and you agreed that the derby was just a case of two packs going at each other.
Sorry to derail the thread.

Elbows are legal, Grapple tackles are legal? That's a new one on me!
Lauaki was standing his ground, rightly so. What about the off the ball hits?
Tbh It's not even worth debating, it was a good tough game and the facts are we won and O'Meeley was motm.
Derbies mean little to me, i'd rather have lost to you and beaten Wire and Leeds.

zzz.
So it never happened then? Jog on.
Great performance from Clinton, also thought Netherton deserves a mention - another top display from him. He's a lot better in the 2nd row than at prop imo.

Not a case of having the biggest, baddest pack around. Simply hvaing a pack that would compete unlike last year. So far they are competing and we have had some great battles in the forwards, particuarly against you, Wire and Hudds.
Not sure what happend with Bailey incident, it was hard to see. Hame just tried to ptb the ball and get on with it but Bailey came in with another oush so then Hame went for him, at which point Bailey went looking for his mates.
The only real contentious one was the Long incident, I would like to think it was an accident as there is no place in our game for gouging but it did look a little suspect.
