Not really. Wigan were slicker and have hit the ground running this year.

I agree, there seems to be some serious knee jerking going on. Both on here and your 'secret' forum. It's 1 game against a decent team away from home. Nice home game next week and everything in the garden will be rosy again.

| I do get fed up of threads like this that slag players off. Last night was just one of them nights where nothing went right at all. So Id prefer it if people get off Matt Cook's and Kris Welham's back. Thought the whole team was pretty poor but thought Vella, Fisher and Newton made a difference in their efforts to ge us in the ame. We don't to be like the dullers when they always pick on certain players who they feel are at fault when it is not the case at all i.e Graeme Horne, Tommy Lee. Was wondering earlier how someone like Graeme is deemed not good enough for a team that finished twelfth last season but be a first choice second row at Huddersfield where there are some talented back rowers such as Gilmour and Faalogo.

If you are not part of the solution then you are more likely part of the problem...: |

You would be best asking Nathan Brown that question but do you think that if both Stephen Wild and Simon Finnegan were fit Graeme would be first choice?
I guess he is the kind of player with utility value that the Giants were looking to add to their squad.

| Cook had a poor game but that's all it was 1 poor game. Let's get off the lads back and see how he goes over a number of games before we decide he's this years scape goat.

Vs Salford I couldn't believe how weak he looked, and I know he's always been skinny, but he's appears even more lightweight it that's possible. Even Charlie looks like he's thinned a bit - we must have the lightest squad in SL
Dont let Zoddy hear you saying this, according to him you've a team of giants all weighing 18 stone so size cant be a problem

We're coming to make some noise!: |
|
| Against Salford Matt Cook was in my top 5 players for Rovers certainly made me wonder where Galea was going to fit into the side.
Going on last nights performance I think we'd be dropping Dobson, Welham, Cook, Cooke and Webster however I cant see that happening!!!

Thank you Adam Pearson for giving the faithful hope: |
|
| Quote: Dicky Ticker "A blow about Brisc but a chance for Ben as he certainly isn't a centre. Hopefully Ratu back next week. Cookey didn't do a great deal tonight so I'Anson could certainly do no worse IMO. Hopefully Cookey scan just a precaution. Ah well it's only Hudds next week
if your pinning your hopes on a player that has only played 1 super league game you are in a worse position than most people think. could be a cricket score next week Huddersfield are a very physical side.

If you pin your hopes on any one player it is a recipe for disaster!
Injuries and drop in form always hang over the 'Star' performers!

Not pinning hopes at all! My point was that as Briscoe is injured Cockayne will be needed at full-back, so Ratu will be needed to slot in at centre to allow Webster and Cooke to continue at 6 & 13 and avoid too much disruption to the current line-up.
