27608.jpg Motto of the week -
It is the way of the weak to secretly bleat to those in authority rather than fight their own battles.:27608.jpg |

| Quote: Basil Fawlty "Injuries... never heard that used as an excuse!
Its a new concept brought in by James Rule to keep season pass sales up.

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

| Well done to the Hull KR players, it's a great effort for so many to stand out in a team that many did not back at the start of the season (including myself, I must admit).
Galea and Dobson fully deserve to be in it but I think Newton and Fox could be debated, but they have all had great seasons!
I am personally chuffed to see Sam Tomkins in there but a little gutted that we could of had that dream team half back partnership at Wigan with a little more forward planning

| Wouldn't have picked Fox tbh. But the other three have been excellent whenever I have seen them. Fair play.

Standing up to the forum bully.
It must be working, he doesn't like me...i'm devastated: |
|
| Excellent progress and to have the same number picked as the S.L. winners is a tremendous achievement. If there was a 'reserve list' i reckon Briscoe and Cooke may have been thereabouts aswell.

Newts has been outshining Galea for the last 2 months. I am a little surprised we got 4 though.

To be honest Fox would have shone more if his centre learned to pass to him a bit more. However, since his centre has bagged some class tries of his own I'll forgive him.

| I'm a big fan of Galea; he had a superb start to the season but has faded badly over the last couple of months in my opinion. I would personally have chosen Steve Menzies in his place.
Fox, Dobson and Newton all deserve their places though. Briscoe would also have been in there at fullback had it not been for a Man of Steel season from Brett Hodgson.

Briscoe is very solid defensively - but Hodgson being dodgy under the high ball?! I think I've seen him miss about 3 all season, and even then recovered afterwards. I'd be surprised if he wasn't the best full back under a bomb in SL. His positional play is second to none.

| Dobson of course picked up the Goldthorpe Medal this season - as featured in Rugby League Express , along with a cheque for £2000.

The 3 must have all been on the tv then, can'think it may have been the fc game early on this season where he had a stinker but not seeing him week in week out it was a uninformed observation. I still stand by the fact that I'd trust Briscoe defensively a bit more than hodgeson but hodgeson still fully deserved his spot in the dream team.
