| You don't think JM might just possibly be better placed to make the decision and might have done it in the best interests of the club do you?
Just a thought.

Taxi for Morgan.'"
and whose to say mills will be here next season, haven't we released players before with a year left on their contracts, jim gannon springs to mind. I don't have any insider knowledge by the way only speculating.
One thing about morgan he has never shown any sentiment in moving players on and improving the squad, maybe that's one of the main reason's we're sat in 3rd place 3 years into superleague, whilst our neighbours are languishing near the bottom needing a big clear out of long established "problem" players.
For me, it's time to thank macca for his great service to our club and wish him well in his future career and if our paths cross again in the future I would expect him to get a big cheer from the east stand. the club has to move forward though.

Do you not think that Hull KR have a duty of care to Macca , they should stand by him in his time of need . The same could be said of other players indiscretions who are still at the club.
Macca would run through a brick wall for Rovers , you know that and so does everyone in the East stand so face upto the fact if he goes it will be a disgrace.

So have a clear out then and get rid of the dead wood and underperforming players , Fitzhenry gone (good) , Fisher plays when he feels like it , I'lanson , Mills , Galea been very poor for the last 5 or 6 games. Replace with State of Origin or International players to move forward. We need a barnstorming prop who can bump off players not another second row who we can convert into a prop.

Mind your own business and get on the HFC website . Better still go and make your old man a cuppa and get the pots washed before you go to bed.

| I don't know the full details of Makali's personal problems, and if I did I wouldn't be putting them out for public consumption, just as the club aren't. For that reason I can't describe this as a disgrace. If you know all the ins and outs then fair enough.

Hardly. His contract was up anyway and there's no room for sentiment at the top level. In any case, you don't know he's in a 'time of need'. A few months ago he was the one reportedly wanting a move for more money.
The club might be letting him go early so he can move to another club - theres all sorts of possibilities so no point speculating either way unless all the facts are known.

If there's no room for sentiment read my earlier post ! Best impact prop off the bench , better prop than Wheeldon and Mills .

can't say sitting where we are in the table too much is wrong so as we need a big clear out, some players will go more youngsters will be signed on to accomodate the quotas, from where I sit fitzy and macca were obviously going to go at the end of the season to bring younger (probably cheaper players in, in the case of fitzy ). Don't forget the constraints of the salary cap when your talking about bringing in SOO or internationals in.
I'm sure they regret giving Millsy a 2 year contract now but I wouldn't be surprised to see him go if we can persuade someone to take him. I personally think Galea has been fine for us despite not hitting the man of steel form like at the start of the season, but I would expect him to go also when his contract expires and a younger player takes his place.
Squad improvement is about gradual improvement now we have reached a certain level to build a succesful team not for just next year by signing retiring aussie test players. I understand your upset by macca leaving and I think its a shame also but that's progress.

unfortunately not too many times this season he hasn't been, if he'd played like he did in Townsville against England every week he'd have got another contract months ago, unfortunately for 1 reason or another he hasn't, you only have to look at rhys lovegrove to see the value of playing at the top of your game when your contract is running out.

You are correct Lovegrove to me when suggested he would play at prop I would of said he was not big enough ! I still maintain that but he has been playing out of his skin. I feel that Morgan has only given Macca a bit part to play , he brings him on for 10 mins then immediately takes him off. Macca was in the form of his life in the World Cup and that form should of reaped the benefits for HKR , it didn't so where did it all go wrong ? If he dropped the ball once he would be taken off.
Meanwhile we have Mills still on contract .

| From what I've heard Makali wasn't even performing in the reserves. I liked the guy too and he has been a good player for us, but at the end of the day the club has to come first.

if its the same as what i have heard banded about, then it would explain quite a few things in regards makali, i for one hope that it is not true, but this is unfortunately the joys of rumours and speculation.
just would like to wish him all the best for his future, you are and have and always will be a legend to the kr fans, good luck makali
