I don't think so personally, he's lived up to what he was bigged up to become.
I'll go for Fitzy, he's started to show what he can do given the chance and is scoring for fun atm.

Standing up to the forum bully.
It must be working, he doesn't like me...i'm devastated: |
|
| Welham season started as a back up centre and has been tipped as a future international. Thats improvement.
Lovegrove started the season as a utility back / forward and is now argubly Rovers most consistent prop.
Wheeldon has come on a lot with improved coaching and if he continues to progress will be a permanent fixture following Foz's retirement at the end of next season.

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

He'd have a long way to go from here if that were ever going to happen, but as a counter argument, I give you Mr. Paul Sykes...

| Paul Cooke.
Seems to have re-invented his role. With Dobson being pretty much at the root of everything, it's difficult to play your normal game, but he seems to be playing to his strengths now instead of trying to save the world every week.
For the Improvement aspect, got to have a shout for Fitzy. For the past 6 weeks or so he's been excellent IMO..

| Not over the year but over the last 4 or so games, Chev Walker. I've actually started to see a spark of what could be. He's running with purpose, is up very quickly on PTB and looks for the offload. Hopefully we can keep him fit and start to see him play to the level we thought we'd see from day 1.

| I think Peter Fox is the most improved player at the club and has come on leaps and bounds since he first came. He has established himself as an international and it was only a few seasons back he was playing national league. Also I think Lovegrove has been great all year and Wheeldon has done well to establish his place in the team.
