I agree i think colburn this for us this year has been great. Making a lot of yards helping out the forwards and also scoring many tries. he has really impressed me.

I have to agree!
I have been nothing but highly impressed with Colbons efforts this season, tell you what, we missed him when he was out injured!

Clucking bell Roofs, I was a big fan of "The Car" but he had no where near Colbon's strength, work ethic or defensive qualities.
You'll be wanting Michael Smith back next.

That's a very good point actually to be fair.

| I think you have to look a lot further in field to see the real problems for Colbon and Webster being out of position. Clint Newton is often found too central and teams can then shift the ball wide knowing our winger and centre have to come inside.
There is no coincidence that when Ben Cockayne was deputising for Colbon his wing was targeted too.
Communication on that flank is poor to say the least, those three really need to start talking in defence otherwise I'd move Clint up to prop next year and bring in a second rower that does communicate.

| Anyone watch the academy? If so any standout backs at the moment? (just out of curiosity).

In the first half how many times did Webster get made to look a t!t becuase he was having to front up to the Second Row+ Centre with him falling off the Second Rower because he had half an eye on the Centre.
I think cooke was pushed further left which pushed Newton further left to plug that gap and that actually seemed to have a double effect that it also meant Clint was nearer Chase on the later tackles and Chase seemed to be working Castlefords right side.

Rovers defence improved when they stopped targetting the second receiver and numbered up holding their line. This stopped our defender being isolated 2 on 1 and forced their wide men to come inside. A simple but very effective structural change.

There may well have been but for me it was the technical change of holding thier line that plugged the gaping gaps that were evident earlydoors.
