On yesterdays showing, had Hull been at full strength they may well have stuck 40 on Rovers so stop talking bollox.

He already knows that, it's why he's posting his carp on here to try and convince himself it isn't the case

At full strength they'd have had Yeaman in - probably for Hall - and some better/different props. Do you really rate Dowes, Cusack, Thackray, even Luaki that highly? Or do you just have an even lower opinion of Paul King than me? Who else - Washbrook? Their problem isn't quantity, its quality - they are missing players, but they can mostly replace them with understudies of similarly indifferent ability.

Their replacements are average players and had they played and we had 17 players, we would have smashed them all over the park.

If you are not part of the solution then you are more likely part of the problem...: |

Hull played well yesterday and put far more effort in then previously this season. However I would say Briscoe, Washy, Lauaki, Cusack and Dowes would all have brought more ability to the Hull team. I dont see what Yeaman could have added that Craig Hall didnt.
Would love to see a Tom Briscoe - Craig Hall centre partnership develop.

Dowes and Cusack would deffo have made more yards and tackles than King and Cordoba (who was very ordinary). Thackray/Lauaki would have provided more impact from the bench, Washbrook would have played LF and Yeaman would have played right centre. That would have given Hull more quality and better balance. Agar got his tactics almost spot on yesterday but didn't really have the players to execute them properly. They rightly spotted Welham,Newton and Webster in defence and their short kicking game was outstanding. with ball in hand they always looked like they could break Rovers down. Remember there was only 6 points in it and Hull had three tries disallowed, 2 correctly and 1 incorrectly imo. I have no doubt that had Hull been full strength they'd have won yesterday.

Yeah, fair play, I forgot about T.Briscoe - and Whiting didn't have his best game. Not saying Hull mightn't have won with a better set of props, either, just can't imagine where the extra 22 points would have come from.

And I had no doubt that had we had a hooker rotation, we'd have beaten [iany[/i side hull would have put out.

| Rhys "the beast" was immense. However I thought both our backrowers were pretty poor. Newton combined some strong runs with some slack defence and a ridiculous offload that could have cost us. Special mention for Chev Walker to, who impressed me.

| However, the fact that you have no doubt does not make it so. Cordoba was 'very ordinary', yet you compare him to Cusack, the player for whom the expression 'very ordinary' was invented.

Thought Lovegrove was outstanding in your forwards, but Galea looks exhausted. Unrecognisable from that stunning performance at Murrayfield.
