| Golden point was in HKR favour, a trip to Wire on a Wednesday night was not.
Tony Smith on the sideline made the difference, Justin made a mistake sat in his box. HKR were very poor in extra time only Cooke and Briscoe looked dangerous. Morley and Carvell were awesome, Briers showed what a great player he is. The best team won on the day won, HKR blew it.

| Quote: Mrs Barista "Disagree - I thought Rovers were favourites at that point with both Cooke and Dobson on the pitch.'"
Kicking off first was disadvantageous as we couldn't get field position. As for Cooke's attempt that was well charged down, I thought he might have been better just kicking for the corner. He had no realistic chance of converting so may have been a better idea simply to try and peg them back.

Took him 4 goes though - if your pack could have got you anywhere near, I'd have fancied Cooke or Dobson, no question.

| I think I remember reading that they changed the rule of golden point in the NRL a few years back because of this. Spoilt too many great games by ending them with a quick drop goal a few minutes in to extra time. Anyone know if this is correct? Pretty sure they have to win by a try or penalty over there now. It is probably worth taking a look at over here too.

That was your chance.

Think they mean field position in their half. Murrell had it once as well, but knocked on, Webster too. Cracked under pressure.
The only player that looked interested in Extra Time was Cooke, and 1 man wouldn't make a difference. Warrington deserved the win.

What I remember is you having possession on the warrington 20 with Webster but he lost the ball, dobson was already running into position. Think it may of been the set before wire won it.

| Quote: Fax4Life "Now you guys have suffered the same fate as we did at Cas what do you all think of the golden point rule???
I think its naff, not the best way to settle a game at all.
Extra time should be played - I do not have a problem with losing by a drop goal but with the golden point it just becomes a drop goal marathon.
We never even got a chance to have a go at Cas, we kicked off and then 5 drives later Cas won.
In todays game it was drop, drop, drop and with Lee Briers on the pitch Warrington always had the best chance of getting one over. He once kicked 5 at the Shay!
Hard luck guys, we are down to one Yorkshire team now in the semis Cas or Huddersfield.'"
Much better than the penalty shoot out that happened union H cup.

| I was one of the few if only FC supporter who wished you good lcuk today.
It was an enthralling match to watch and no matter who won during golden point it was always going to be a harsh defeat for whoever lost.
I don't like it and much prefer proper extra time to sort a game out.

It was the 5th Tackle and Webster was around 30 metres out.
Wire did go down field and kick the winning DG after it though.
