So why Have Wigan got one then? Do they not have to get back to the F.A. too?

There appears to have been some shift in the management of the stadium since Dufen took control.

A RL International fixture would have been well supported by the Hull public , but this game does not fit in with Duffen's agenda.

Additionally the use of the stadium for concerts etc seems to have reduced/stopped since the change in management.

The stadium does not appear to be offering some of the benefits that were originally promised.

Duffen's just being lazy because it's a bit complicated to arrange and is not his priority. He's now compounded this by being abusive to the rugby league community in the city. If he's accountable to the council on the basis of effectively being caretaker of their asset maybe we should all write eloquent letters to the council chairman. I and I suspect many others do feel insulted by Duffen's sweeping generalisation. I feel that some compensation may be in order. Does anyone know a personal injury lawyer?

The Rugby League community in Hull have been let down by Duffen and a full house would have been guaranteed. His comments are disrespectful.

Its just taken some R.L. supporters within the city a lot longer to realise who actually controls matters at the KC than others

Wigan Athletic, huddersfield Town and Doncaster Rovers have no idea as to their fixtures, yet they can commit their stadia for an international game which will be screened live. This would enhances any advertising opportunities the stadium owners have. If Duffen really wanted to he could have asked for an increased fee for the usage of the KC and the RFL would likely have backed down due to its popularity for pervisou international.

Clear indication of poor management by the SMC. Nothing to do with a conflict of interest, Duffen has not maximised the potential for using the stadium which one of his companies is responsible for.

If what is posted earlier in this thread is true, eg the alledged comments from Duffen that RL fans cannot write, I think he shoud do the right thing and resign as head of the SMC.

The KC staged matches at a similar time of year. Poor excuse.

I really don't see how this was a problem. The FA must be aware that the KC is a "community stadium" and as such there may be commitments beyond football (and rugby for that matter) for its use. All City have to do is inform the FA of a commitment at the stadium on the day of the proposed international.

It's not as if the fixture list for next season can be at a very advanced stage because the FA doesn't even know what league City will be in yet!

I was a work last night and went on humbersides listen again feature to listen to the hull city fans forum for myself, unfortunately the works computer wouldn't play it.I did notice that the sport talk feature was 180 mins long, i got home this morning and tried again but it is only 90 mins long now, the city forum part of talk sport has been cut off...are we now going to get an edited version with a small part erased?

I think it's interesting that none of the Hull SL fans have made a comment on the fact that had Kath and Richo not been so keen to get their noses out of the trough they would have had as much say as Duffen. Mind you.I would imagine if they had have been he would not have taken City over as the long time plan is to buy the stadium and the land around it.

Touchy, Touchy

Its a disgrace on anumber of levels:

1. It denies Hull the prestige of hosting an Int fixture
2. It denise RL fans in teh city the opportunity to see a "home" International
3. It reduces the cash teh stadium is generating for the council and by default the people of the city.

There is no reason at all for this to have happened other than poor management. You should all be complaining to teh council as the owners and elected reps of the people!!
