Welham hasnt and Lovegrove did well at the end of the season, I am talking about proving themselves over a season or least 20 games plus.
Also you got Lovegrove from an NRL club, hardly the home grown players we are talking about.
Also good to see Zod mentions Lee, (who has done ok for Hull, but I agree hasnt lived up to his hype), but fails to mention players like Hall, washbrook and Wheeldon.

3 (and 2 tries), but I take your point. That he and K. Netherton have started to show some promise has been one of big plusses of the season so far. Rovers have got plenty of work to do in developing their own players, but at least now we can start to compete on equal terms. Be interesting to see how I'anson and Menzies go when they get a chance.

| Some of the drivel on here is hilarious!
I cannot believe what bile comes out of some rugby league fans in this city! from both sides I hasten to add.
A rovers lady said to me on Tuesday;
That Motu's out for 6 weeks. He's a rubbish player
I said Motu's a good player and it;s Manu out for 6 weeks
She said, yeah Manu, he's a rubbish player
What was funny is that this was after stating Rhys Lovegrove was already one of the best players in the league!
Also that Hull have a team full of aussies
Happy days.
Just out of interest, has that I'anson played for you lot yet?
Just noticed Zod stating that these 5 academy players would still beat us. Interesting..........................

I'anson played in the final game of the 2007 season.
One man's drivel is another's informed speculation - no you're right it is just drivel.

And?
Can you tell me where these Whelham, Ianson, K Netherton, Lovegrove and Menzies started out?
When you start producing your own players, you can make digs at Hull's young players.
Also seeing as Rovers are now in SL, when are they going to start signing the best young players in the city.

| Quote: General Zod. "Why would that be of concern?
The board have the money for both.
The academy talk is getting boring.
Last year you lot predicted the first year of these rules would hit us but it that isn't happening. We could play five academy players in Whelham, Ianson, K Netherton, Lovegrove and Menzies, and still beat you comfortably so what's the big deal?
I'm looking for the Justin Morgan to produce players who can actually make an impact rather than mediocre overhyped players like Tommy Lee.
In the meantime, world class imports provide a better environment for the youngsters to learn.'"
Post of the month pal, could not agree more. Bang on
