Spoke to GJB on Saturday in Manchester and said this. Morgan last year created a team spirit built on work ethic, being the underdog and the fact the team had stayed together through promotion helped with that.
This season you have some bigger name players with ego's and creating the same type of spirit may be much harder, not impossible but JM will have some different issues to deal with this season from his players imvho.

A lot of sense as usual Paul.
But i am sure Justin would rather manage "big players" with "big egos"
Than lesser players with "big hearts"
imo.

Thankyou.
I agree, no question about it. Its a different kind of problem but a coach with ambition would welcome the challenge.

The other thing is that hopefully with JM not long ago playing at the level the new guys have come from he should hopefully have enough of an idea what is needed to help with the transition!

| Nothing wrong with a positive attitude, its far from arrogant. Mark O'Neil had the utmost respect of the other players and that was shown at the last game when they made a tunnel of honour for him when he left the field. I dont envisage anything changing, there will be an 'as one' attitude and I cant wait !!

| One of Rovers most successful periods was when we had the likes of Gavin Miller , Gordon Smith and Gary Prohm - who displayed great professionalism and laid down the marker for the others.
Their attitude to the game was exemplary , they were battlers and winners.
Positive attitude and ambition is how you get on in both RL and life.
The new signings look like taking the club to a new and higher level of achievement.

We're coming to make some noise!: |
|
| And kicked him out the club!!! Literally!
So Newton has friends that are willing to retire for him to stay in the country and play at a club he enjoys playing for. Friends like that for someone so arrogant hey!!!
Come on guys the report was meant as a positive, that he wants to be successful in the SL and with HKR so he doesnt want to be surrounded by players that dont want the same. Something EVERY player at our place strives for!

32067.jpg I enjoyed visiting Craven Park a hundred times more than the KC.
Hull KR supporters generally seem to be a much more genuine lot than the West side of the city and unlike the KC there was never any threat of anything 'kicking off'
I'm sure these comments will annoy genuine Hull FC supporters, but unfortunately your neighbours show how supporting your team is done correctly.:32067.jpg |

I very much agree. However i don't think they'll be much of a problem to be honest. Im sure the bonding trips will help them. Newton's winning mentality will be fantastic for the squad. The likes of Galea and Chev Walker should also have that mentality. I would like to think our players don't have the mediocre mentality and the new players coming in should instill the winning mentality amongst the rest of last seasons squad!

| I agree with most of the comments made.
There will be bigger egos to manage but JM seems to have excellent man management skills and I'm sure he will more than rise to the challenge.
Also agree with the fact that we need that kind of winning mentality and I'm sure the rest of the players welcome it as they did last season with Mark O'Neil and Vella.
The only thing about the article from yesterday that bothered me was how it was written "Newton warns team mates he won't except mediocrity"
Now I don't know weather that was how he meant it to come across or weather it is how the Mail has portrayed it.
If its exactly what he said then I'm a little concerned as to how the rest of the team may feel, as I'm sure they are not planning on mediocrity either. "Warns" just makes it feel a little disrespectful to the current team.
Saying that I have the faith that if JM thought this character was not right for the team dynamics he would not have recruited him, regardless of the player he is. Just my humble opinion though.
