As I stated, too many injuries. Not Chesters fault.

However, stating on the radio that he's not sure or no idea about something is not good. He gets paid to know what's wrong and fix it.

As an ex-player of the same club, do players see him as a manager or one of the boys. All managers know that you must seperate yourself from nostalgia and sentimentality if you are to deliver your role effectively.

I would agree with your initial point if we had been playing Saints, Wigan etc but against a Wakey team that is miles away from full cap and then not playing well, at home we should have won that by at least 12. Even if we'd been beaten by Wakey that were firing on all cylinders and we had put in a structured valiant effort I could have maybe thought that Chessie is doing it the hard way and with players back we'll be ok

Even taking injuries into account, do you think that we should have had enough to win yesterday?

I honestly think that even with a full squad we'll still struggle to beat most of the teams in the league if we don't sort out the basics.

It seems, cockayne, clarkson, salter and kelly have all picked up injuries in yesterdays game, just to add icing to our cake.

My mate just told me chester said in an interview Charlie was playing with injections we knew he wouldnt make the full match !!! If he was Billy Slater yeah get an hour out of him but for christs sake its Ben, the coach knew we would be an interchange down for a guy who didnt start the season as 1st choice full back. My £100 on chester 1st coaching casualty is looking safe, not sure how much Chester put on, must have been alot.

We will ship 50 points or more on Friday and then CC will probably get the chop. It's a shame for anyone to get the elbow but I suspect Poching will be sacked at the same time.
I hope the board have had the foresight to approach the new coach this week because the chances of Rovers getting anything but a drubbing on Friday are nil. The new coach deserves a week at least to get some structure to the team before we take on Widnes.

einstien said insanity is when a person does the same thing over and over again but expects a different result:

Quote: deslawson "It seems, cockayne, clarkson, salter and kelly have all picked up injuries in yesterdays game, just to add icing to our cake.'"

The thing is with them missing it won't make a difference in the slightest all are dead weight at the minute

If Rugby League Rocks, then Hull KR is its Soul.:

Des. We all know now that the RFL hands out suspensions based on the seriousness of the injury. Garbutt only wacked Tamou on the snotter. To get 4 matches, he would have needed to follow up his punch by snapping off his Willy. Potentially ending a players ability to reproduce the Rugby League superstars of the future is Grade C or D, I think and obviously the RFL would view this with the utmost seriousness. icon_thumb.gif

Would that be big powerful structure or small and undersized structure like we have at the moment?

The poster formerly known as Wildmoose...cheers Karoo:

Yesterday we had 6 props, no back row rotation, no hookers & one half-back. Chessie has had no luck at all. Still doesn't excuse performances like that though.

I still think people are under estimating the effect of the missing players. Early last season my rovers supporting mate was telling me that rovers were brilliant to watch and, until injuries started to bite, you were scoring a hat full of tries. Your squad is broadly the same as it was then with a few fringe players leaving and a few new ones being brought in so what has changed? Has chester suddenly started to tell players to do something completely differently? I doubt it so the only other factor is the loss of campese and your 2 hookers.

Last season radford was getting panned for our one dimensional rugby and our lack of try scoring ability. Fast forward 12 months and we've scored 15 in 2 games - same coach but better players overall. It's no co-incidence.

Doesn't seem to me that your board have any intentions of sacking him any time soon anyway

Lack of speed, passion, urgency, variation, skill, execution, leadership, enthusiasm, organisation, composure, flair, intent, game plan. You name it, we lacked it.

Our MOM was our stand in hooker. I was there. That 17 had enough talent to win, but they gifted Wakey 2 admittedly well taken tries. They bombed several chances, but overall didn't ask enough questions of an average Wakefield side. Just not good enough.
