| Solid enough, but when are we going to get a prop who can give a one handed offload out from a tackle like Burgess did several times today.

Agreed on both points, looks promising though.

| So, at the risk of getting shot down (particularly Bandito) for being a little impartial -- how did the forwards go today. Couldn't get a feed despite desperate efforts.

| Vella can off load in the tackle as can Rhys and Makali however if there isn't the support you dont want them throwing the ball anywhere.
Didnt think Bibb had a real good game was out of position in defence on occasions but a new club and new team mates to get used to so cant really complain, lets see how he goes in the coming weeks.

Out muscled in the first 25mins but once a few Bradford players were rocked by some big hits surprisingly from our backs we started to dominate through speed of our ruck area. The speed at which Fitzhenry added to the scoots was good and Rhys's direct non-stop running was key to the come back.
Thought Rhys wasn't played for long enough but I guess after so long out he needs to build up his game time. Seemed to be put in charge of directing Kyle Bibb but at 22 I think it shouldn't be his job. Needs the pink boots back too!
Vella's knee looks ready to give out anytime soon so possibly after the derby he'll be given a couple of weeks off. Looking forward to getting Fozzard back to his best after this rest. Be good to get Aizue back too although I dont think that will be as soon as Fozzard.

| Got through ok today, knows how to find his front and won most of the collisions he was involved in. There was a distinct lack of enthusiasm at square marker from all of the players today (especially in the first half) but his fitness did seem to be an issue.
I thought Lovegrove and Wheeldon were massive for us today. Impressed that 2 young front rowers can perform like senior players against a hard hitting Bradford side.

Only average. When you consider we had Fozzard, Aizue, Mills and Watts on the sidelines but fully fit, i fail to see the reasoning behind this signing.
Agree with Lovegrove, however, Wheeldon seemed to get manhandled at times and struggled with the physicallity imo

| As well as Lovegrove , and particularly Wheeldon did, the outstanding forward on the pitch was the much younger (which itself is hard to believe) Sam Burgess.
A true class forward who looks to be a legend in the making.
I hope he doesnt waste his talents and career at an obviously freefalling Bulls outfit.
As for Bibb, i cannot see any sense in the signing whatsoever, gave Rovers nothing that any of Aizue, Fozzard or even Mills or one of the prospects from the academy couldnt have.

Couldn't agree more with you there. He is an absolute freak (in the nicest possible sense). Was stood next to him in the HP bar after the game and he is soooooo tall (or maybe i'm that short) and has one hell of a physique. Hard to believe he is only what??...20???
Will probably end up in aussie if the reports are to be believed which would be a great loss to our game. Maybe central contracts are the way forward for elite players such as him because we don't want to be losing players of that quality from SL.

It would only improve him further as a player which in turn would help GB/England. I'd love to see more players go over to Australia to test themselves and try to improve.

I agree to a certain extent.
But we have to draw the line somewhere. We get average aussies over here they get the best of British over there. Doesn't seem right to me.

| Back on topic; looks like the Bibb loan won't be extended past the original month, as Wakefield are looking abit short on props now Pitts has signed for Leeds

Generally that's how it's always been - Phil Lowe , Roger , Knocker and even Stevo in the 70's.
I know Thorman and a few others went over there a couple of season ago but non really made the grade.
Ellis is the only one playing there now I think.

Pitts has moved to Leeds with immediate effect after turning down a deal at Wakefield.
