| Quote: Jake the Peg "Or maybe voltiare is right and you have debts with HMRC. Possibly what hudge is alluding to with his comments re getting through to the end of the season? I'd be surprised if these 2 rovers fanatics were going to hamper a new owner with paying them back the money they've lent to rovers'"
I've not seen or heard anything to indicate that, so I personally doubt it - it'd put a different complexion on things, certainly.
While I don't think they're in a position to play hardball, I can imagine they might prefer to retain a stake or see a show of commitment, depending on who the buyer is. Whether that is realistic, I'm not sure. It'd be unfair on a sponsor who is helping out to keep us going in the future, to expect them to take on a big chunk of the historic debt. On the other hand, you might worry about the intentions of a new owner unwilling to make even a token contribution - could be viewed as either shrewd or potentially a bit predatory.
I must admit, with a prospect of ongoing losses, if it were me, I'd want most of it written off.

| what does anyone think of what was in dave the nosey parker today, it reads hull kr chairman neil hudgell said yesterday(sunday)morning that talk off imminent local investment coming in was "not sorted and all a little premature."he also laughed off rumours that russell crowe was ready to invest along with ex-rovers player clint newton and his dad. he did confirm, however, that second rower constataine mika's agent was free to offer him around as they had not offered him a new deal. that to me doesn't sound very good like a investor isn't coming forward after all so guess its a waiting game

100% agree. If you chucked a new contract at Mika he's drop the pen.

i will second that, i believe that Mika would have been released in any case, with or without an investor.
Personaly i think he has been a bit of a disapointment overall and the club will be looking for someone a little more reliable an less error prone as his relacement.

Absolutally, he would be a great addition, however if he does want to come back to the area i'm sure Hull fc will attempt to resign him, you never know though.

| and while we are at it bring back newton, and charlie and we might have players who will play for the passion of the shirt, has paul t told many my sources wayne parker sometimes i take him with a pinch of salt but what i heard today is very interesting in deed, what does other make of this what neil is suppose to be thinking. if kr get beat by wakey and hull then he and rob will place kr in administration then after a few months buy back kr debt free, ok losing super league points this season but start next year debt free and more appealing to a new investor, then 2014 season get a new licence with a club debt free and clean slate it is a bit risky lets hope he doesn't have to do this and we get a major backer by end of month. but this does tie up with what he says he has people to step up next year but this season will be hard to keep paying for and will go back to a investor who we left alone a while back. as for mika agree with a lot on here he just has not lived up to his own hype when we signed him he said he would rip up super league he would mix it with the best but funny we sign a lot of players who have said that in the past. also i for one feel for sandercock he hasn't being given a fair crack he had to sign players a lot cheaper than he may of wanted so didn't get quality.

As far as we know, they either own or underwrite all of the debt. So the creditors they'd be jibbing off would either beThat[/i is the pressing issue. Why mess about with administration, when it could be turned into shares or simply written off? the only difference is the points deduction.

HMRC debts won't be guaranteed by the directors

they can't keep 'lending' us money they'll likely not see again or offering those types of guarantees forever - and have said they won't to the same extent, from next season onwards. [iThat[/i is the pressing issue. Why mess about with administration, when it could be turned into shares or simply written off? the only difference is the points deduction.'"
i would be very suprised if neil and rob would have exposed themselves and their families to that sort of risk. The only reason anyone would plough money into rl would be if they had the disposable income. 5 years ago they might have, with a view to becoming self sustaining which looks highly unlikely.
