Did you get rid of all the voices in your head? Do you now miss them and the things that they said?: |

| Quote: blakeysrobin "Beg to differ I think. Am sure I saw an attendance figure of 10500. Was in the east stand that day. Score something like 44-6?'"
It wouldn't have been 10500 would it. The capacity with the golf stand was only 10200.
Thought the score was something like 50-0???

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

| I used to like those grassed banks, it was like a more rainy, windier, colder version of an Australian ground.
One Boxing or New Years Day game, or might just have been Winter, my Mum fell right on her Iestyn and slid all the way down.

| Despite being a Black and White, I do think you have done great things with the ground. Just need to do something at the river end for it to be as good as most in the league.

Sounds about right, daft gets, spoiling it.
I used to have a little pic-nic on them and watch the clouds and sea gulls, very relaxing. Better than watching the rugby most of the time, now I have to take my Kindle or try and get someone to have a game of Ker-Plunk, don't get many takers though.

Penriths ground is like that or it was last time I was their( 1992 long time ago )the fans used to take blankets to sit on and have picnic's brill ground, they have a cinema and lots and lots of one armed bandits and a restaurant and you can play golf their the locals did not go anywhere else for their entertainment and it all paid for the rugby team

The no win no fee culture with aggressive promotion has a lot to answer for.
Joking aside, good tread and yes massive improvement over the last decade, just hope the support is their to provide financial stability

Really?
We won promotion and joined the elite competition in this country. It all has to start somewhere. Us winning that Grand final back in 2006 far outweighs your cup win in 2005 as the many many days of enjoyment we've had since promoted beats your afternoon in Cardiff hands down.

So one amazing day in Cardiff compares to our 7 seasons in Super League, Each of those 7 seasons has brought with it massive ups and massive downs. How many of those ups would Hull Kingston Rovers fans have had if we wouldn't have gained promotion on that day and still be living out our days in the National Leagues.
So it's fair to say that those 7 seasons and the many more still to come actually outweighs that win of yours at Cardiff.
