Yeah, that works. . If Hudge didn't let his heart rule his head constantly trying to compete with us and spending beyond your means, you wouldn't be in this mess now.

Correct...
I always said he would be the downfall of KR as he is way too bitter about FC which has being costly for the club. KR need some-one who will make decisions with their heads and not their hearts.

Sounds like Pearson trying to compete with Wire & Leeds. Difference is Moran just needs Take That or Stone Roses to tour every 3 years and he can splash the cash. How's Adam's day job going?

Whatever drives him (and I doubt it is [iquite[/i as FC-centric as you believe), it's worked pretty well up until now. I can only think of 3 or 4 out and out errors, and with at least one of them (signing Mason), I'm being wise with hindsight.
Now is probably time for a realignment. In some respects I think it started about a year ago.

His glaringly obvious number one error is over estimating your support and spending cash that he thought would return through the turnstiles.

His (or rather their) money and it brought us a long way - and just in time, with licensing having been exposed as a sham and feeder clubs on the horizon. I'd rather be working towards sustainability from here than where we would likely be without the money the board have put in.
I daresay you might take the counterview, but given that you're a Hull FC fan and a troll, that IMO merely reinforces my argument.

No , his number one error was been persuaded to follow a certain path and giving carte blanche to certain gentlemen to spend as much as it took and then those gentleman taking the mickey and putting their own interests first.
Had we taken the other path we had open to us after our peak season of 09 we would at the very least be much better off and possibly established as a top six challenger at worst.
There have been too many pigs at the trough at Rovers...and still are at least on the staffing side..

Pearson is one year in and targeting an average attendance not far off what we achieved in 2007. Hudgell is 8 years in and how long ago is it that Rovers averaged 10k? I'll guess at either 30ish, or never.
The really odd thing is why, at a time when Rovers have net liabilities of £2.8m (quite possibly more now, as that was 10 months ago) and cash is king, they would dither about with getting money in for season passes. In the past they've been announced as early as July, think that was Club Rovers year. Makes no sense. Most rugby fans know there are more ins and outs to come at this time of year, Rovers have, what, 20 odd of the squad contracted, most new signings announced early. Bit silly IMO.

On the back of 2 sell out derbies. What was the average without the 2nd game?

Taking stock and realignment, innit? No honeymoon lasts forever.
We've been at ~85% of the target in recent years, and for all that it hasn't been the best year, getting the North Stand off the ground finally is a big step towards our having a shot at being self-sustaining. Albeit maybe spending less than the full cap.
