| I’d hoped he would stay another year great versatility staying to play in a game when his brother had died spoke volumes

| Just need another half I’d go for Drinkwater just because he’s proven in SL we don’t want another Kris Keating

Drinkwater would do for me,not a world beater, but guides the team round the pitch as he proved at catalans, which is what we have lacked.

| If you can keep Mitch fit he will be a fantastic signing for you, Im gutted he's leaving tbh. His only knock is his fitness record, when he's on the field he's one of the best props in the comp imo, massively underrated. In 2017 when he played most games, he made more meters per carry than any other forward in superleague.
This season he only played a handful of games but in those games he was very good, He was by far the best player on the pitch against your neighbours earlier in the season at headingley.

| He adds even more grunt up front. We're looking very solid up front now. Lawler and Addy to return as well so everything looks a lot brighter.

He's a great player but I guess Sinfield and Furner weren't impressed by his fitness record and wanted to clear an OS space for a new signing.
Keep him fit and he'll go well, if he has another season like last he could be a waste of OS spot and salary cap.

| Could be argued any over seas signing is a risk really with a quota space and injuries. We signed Vaivai with 3 knee reconstructions and he turned out alright, Heffernan with some minor issues and he retires.
At least with garbutt you are not questioning his quality which is the other gamble with oversea's signings

As others have said, Garbutt is quality. He was our best prop by a long way. It’s very strange that we’ve sold him on.

| garbutt is a great signing for rovers. Head and shoulders your best prop. There must have been something at leeds for them to let him go. Maybe he and furner have some history?

| Pleased with this - seems pretty much nailed on now, and probably just waiting for his visa to be transferred.
Garbutt, Jewitt, Mulhern, Masoe, Scruton and Johnson is a decent sextet of props. You never know how it’ll turn out, but with the likes of Lannon, Tomkins and Greenwood in the backrow, there’s now no need to fear that ‘lightweight and mobile’ coach’s interview quotes.
