It was when he fell out with the bulldogs but still had a year on his contract.
A couple of reasons really, his contract was a reported $400k, the contract he got off scr was reportedly the same and he didn't want to give up rep footy. | | | |

For me its a 50/50 split either way.
But I will say one thing he is a massive draw of that you can be certain.

If you want cheering up Roofs NQC fans seemed to have mostly good things to say about him - there is a link somewhere back a few pages.
I understand why you're nervous - but c'mon let's live on the edge a bit. Past his best or not, he'd strengthen our pack.
I don't like that he punched Fielden. The careers advice he gave to SBW wasn't brilliant. The weeing in the street - I've done that when in dire need (small bladder  ). Always avoided my shoes though. Ego, attitude etc - I'd judge him when he arrived. Visa permitting, coming across for pre-season like O'Meley did for Hull, would be a positive sign. Hope he brings some thermals.
