Dont think many of our fans have predicted breaking into the higher ranks of the league yet. 6th is a real and fair shout for us to finish after last seasons 7th place finish.

I'm saying, not suggesting, that apart from one game at the beginning of last season he is perfectly safe under the high ball.

Come on, lets be sensible. He has great energy and commitment, he helps out loads with his dummy half scoots but good under the high ball he's not!

So because a lot of people say he is crap under the high ball, he is wrong? A lot of people thought Hitler was doing good, were they right?

Quote: Rupert Pupkin "I actually thought he was excellent for both Catalan and Wigan and he got heeps of praise for both efforts at each club. Coming into a side half way through the season is a difficult job and all credit to him he showed some real glimpses of class at times, along with one shocker of a game against Saints.
Again for me his form in SL has been very good and I'm not saying he is as good as Burrows or as influential as Long. I think he is going to chip in with a good number of try's and by the looks of his last season goal kcking percentage, plenty of goals.'"

I think this is one of the occasions were people have differing opinions and can say 'agree to disagree?' icon_wink.gif

People often see what they want to see. And those who like to complain make the most noise.

Correction. Indeed, under the high ball Motu had no confidence for the first 3 games - probably manifested by the crowd's tense silence every time a ball was lobbed up.

By the St Helens game away, though - the 4th I believe - which wasn't televised and only witnessed by the loyal away support, he gritted his teeth and pocketed a horrendous high ball in the first 15 mins. The screams and cheers from the Faithful set the scene for the rest of his season.

From that moment - until he got injured, from what I recall (and I did see every game) - Motu was safe under the high.

You could see his confidence build - by the end he was plucking them out of the air. It wasn't that he was "crap" under the high ball, merely that he had no confidence due to the early mistakes and the crowds' resulting holdings of breath.

Can't wait to see him back - he'll do us proud (thanks for the concern, though).

Quote: phil webbo "Outstanding, love the subtle way you placed Rovers 9th, but think only the teams third to eighth will be in a positional lottery, as you point out all six have weaknesses but you apparently think all are to strong for Rovers, did you not watch any rugby last season, with the inclusion of Salford and Celtic you think Rovers will drop 2 places
I actually never meant it like that, I meant there are a number of teams that could finish 3rd-8th and that includes Rovers. Not everything is a Hull/Rovers spat you know icon_rolleyes.gif
