Just remember that you were taken apart by Salford a couple of weeks ago and to be also lost against Catalans, if you can't beat 2/3rds of the bottom 4 teams you've come across, you'll find it hard to break out of the bottom 4

First of all well done. This SL is the tightest ever so I've felt for HKR from day one, you're not that bad a team.

That said there simply arn't enough wins out there for you to make top 8 let alone six!

However if you win the games you're meant to and pinch the odd one like last night that perhaps you wern't expecting the 10th or even 9th is possible and from there you could easily stop up and build for next year.

Finally I'm not being condecending, my own team has got off to a ripper start but top 8 is far from guaranteed.

It's possible but would require one team to really fall off the gas. Ninth would be brilliant first season back, would put your destiny in your own hands though I get why after 2016 you're not keen on that

After last night it is a realistic goal to finish above Catalans, Widnes, Salford & Huddersfield which would put us in the top 8.

A tough task and we need to find consistency that is the hardest bit. In 2016 when we won easily at Leeds I thought we had turned the corner but we didn't win again for weeks and never once won back to back.

Still, things look a lot rosier than they did a day ago.
