I wouldnt go that far but to me the person off the field is as important as he is on the field when representing our club. So no deal for me.

If we let him go, he will get a new club. He is a good player with the heart of a lion and he always gives 100%. He has had his problems off the field, but so have lots of players in the past and will do in the future. I would give him a conditional deal for 12 months and if he keeps his private life to an acceptable standard for the club, then look at extending it.

The coach and board will make the decision and if Ben is a Hull KR player for the next few seasons then i will support him every time he pulls on the shirt.

I reckon that when Cockaynes latest indiscretion occurred the Boards plan was to break off contract talks with him and let him go at the end of his contract.
However, such has been his form that if has been carrying out the commitments that they set out to him as a condition of not being released at the time then i reckon he may get a new deal.
Personally, i think that he is a player that i would always have around my team on ability alone but there is more to representing a club than just 80 minutes on a sunday so i would let him go. Would be a sad day though but its nobodys fault but his own.
