'when my life is over, the thing which will have given me greatest pride is that I was first to plunge into the sea, swimming freely underwater without any connection to the terrestrial world'
Yves Le Prieur, the real inventor of the aqualung: |

| Wasn't it an Huddersfield 'home' game ?
If so, why did Cas have to change, they will have brought their away kit. Hudds should have been made to change as they seemed to be in their away kit.

| Me and my brother was at the Cas away game and just before the teams came out,and i swear this is true,he said "wouldn`t it be funny if we came out wearing Castleford shirts".We still can`t believe he said that to this day.And i think the year was 1992 because i seem to remember they were only a couple of weeks from the challenge cup final against Wigan, and we beat them.

| Vaguely remember a team having to wear our Wastewise blue with green away shirt at our place one time.

| For some reason, which I cannot recall (with it being away), I was the mascot for that Castleford game. At least I came out in the right shirt!

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

| One of the commentators on sky I think it was Eddie Hemmings said the teams were wearing the kits as a directive from the RFL. If this had been noticed when the teams were warming up it would have been almost as quick for someone to go back to Huddersfield and collect the home kit as brong the kit lady from her home.

The kit lady also helps out on the hospitality side of this for Halifax; so she might have been there anyway.

They said they'd dragged her in and spoilt her roast dinner.

| I heard that it was a mistake in the insructions from Red hall, But having done the kit mans job I would have had both kits on the bus just in case. It would also help if clubs managers actualy had a chat the day before to sort out normaly trivial items, I used to ring teams(in amature level) to find out what facilitys they had & more important what shirts they played in if they were they unknown to us. It still did not help if your kit man has a brain storm & forgets the kit but thats life.

| It's not a problem you ever really got in RL until the common sense approach of clubs contacting each other to sort it between themselves, was replaced by the good old governing body telling teams what wear. Strange one that!

The instruction for Hudds in White and Cas in Yellow was issued during May to the clubs (directives are issued and revised). I would presume that the kit man only looked at an old copy that had Cas in white - however, operational rules do state clearly that the visiting side should take 2 sets of kit with them - usually Principal and Alternative (Home and away to the fans).

Spot on. It was amazing how so many numpties assumed the Giants were at fault without checking a single fact.
