I will admit he isn't the best player to ever grace the competition but he is one of the biggest names due to his past incidents being well reported around the world.
And who knows he might actually turn out to be the best player to ever grace the competition, we will soon find out!
While the FC lot are here, who would you say over your years in the SL who is the BIGGEST name Hull have ever had? Jason Smith? Stephen Kearney?

Tbf there was a ridiculous fan fare that surrounded Johns, on his debut I thought Eddie was going to orgasm live on TV. Although he is probably the best player of the modern game and in the eyes of some the best ever so on that basis I would say he is higher profile than Mason.
Mason, despite his obvious ability, is much better known for controvesy and his hard man image, or more specifically knocking out Fielden. |

Biggest name I'd say Kearney, captained his country more times than any one else and won just about everything there is. Jason Smith is probably the best I've seen in the black and white though. |
