Mrs B it's no use getting all humble now.

You've been done 4-21 on your own pitch, dumped out of the competition by a team that finished 7th. That tells me that you are rubbish but everyone else has known that for ages.

But I have news for you, this is as good as it gets. Next year you have Sean Long on mega bucks in his 37th year. We have Willie Mason and |Blake Green plus the team that crushed you tonight.

Never mind you'll probably win the 'most injuries' comp again.

Some real key points in the game that have already been mentioned, the defence in the first half and especially the last second tackle and Hall coming off injured.
I would have thought Whitting should have gone to FB and Turner come on to replace him instead of breaking up the half backs up.

I thought FC made strong yeards generally but hardly ever looked like scoring(luckily for them we handed thier only try on a plate lol).

What a tackle by Murrell on Fitz, didn't know what hit him, must of hurt cause he got up and whinged about it lol

I thought Dobson was pure class, ran the whole show!!!

Had all 4 marquee players playing of which I thought Fitzgibbon was the stand out plus their player of the year, Danny Tickle who was annonymous.

And how about their '18th man', not even a whimper from them but I have to say well done to the 80/90 who stayed behind to thank the players for reaching the dizzy heights of the playoffs icon_lol.gif

For 3 years now we have proved we are by far the better team in the city!

Team performance from 1-17 tonight but for me Dobson and Murrell controlled the game keeping Rovers going forward. Good to have at least one recognised centre back at last but in Cockayne we certainly have the most versatile player in super league.

Respect to those few FC fans who remained to clap their heroes for this season's effort.

They did. It was hugely disruptive to have them all available at once though. icon_wink.gif

If you mean Whiting he was in the stands with a broken arm and Turner was already on the pitch in the Centres

You do keep very very similar times to another key poster on here. Odd, but I can understand why it would look bad for your alter ego to post in this fashion.

I don't see why you are reporting this as "news" to me? I've been very clear on here for ages that Rovers would win yesterday. Rovers will be stronger for sure next year. But the context I guess is that you were 7th and beat a team in 6th that has beaten you twice this year and finished above you after the regular rounds. Hudgell promised you would be challenging for silverware by 2009, which presumably means getting to a final as it's difficult to challenge without doing that. I know Vella has said you will win the competition this season in the HDM, but do you think you should consider that Warrington, Wigan, Saints, Leeds and Huddersfield might not just roll over as easily as we did? Being the best team in Hull is a bit like qualifying for an Olympic final as a fastest loser. Important for bragging rights etc, but does it make you a genuine contender when your opponents are so poor? I'm not entirely sure.

He denied it previously and there is no evidence to the contrary - even calling it 'circumstantial'. Just a coincidence I assume.
