Ouch.
A tweeter/twitterer with credibility? I assume there are some.
Jinxed him with all those comments about Jake Webster, haven't we?

With Gleeson still weeks away, apparently, how did Heil get on relative to how Salter has been playing?'"
I thought, at the time of watching, that he'd had a good game, actually seemed better tham Salter, but in the bar talking to friends sat in the West Stand they pointed out a few mistakes he'd made, and thought he'd had a poor game.
But he didn't do bad for a relative newcomer.

Don't know if he took a knock but he half looked like he was struggling to keep up with the pace in the 2nd half.

Thought he was ok, but id say Salter is the better centre.

I'd be surprised it Paterson cops a ban, it wasn't a bad challenge just marginally late, I'd guess the video will probably show he was already committed to the tackle.

Genuine question here, I don't know the answer perhaps you do.
A few years ago Rovers aquired a 99 year lease on Craven Park giving them exclusive use of the stadium. If the stadium is required by anyone else they must pay Rovers not the council. Caterers pay Rovers, bar takings are Rovers etc etc. Rovers have the full & final say on all matters for 99 years.
For example if anyone wanted to put up pictures of Johnny Whiteley, they would need the permission of Rovers the leaseholders not the council the owners.
I once bought a flat leasehold and after the building society transferred funds there was no rent to pay at all. I was left with a mortgage but that went to the BS.
So my question is...do Rovers actually pay rent at all? Do leaseholders pay rent? Either way it's surely better than being unwelcome squatters at the KC.

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

| I thought Mika went well in the first half, two (especially the second one) booming hits that we haven't seen since the days of Makali.
Craig Hall went well at off half although his and Heil's defence down that right channel was particularly dodgy when combined with Caro's backwards running and watch them run past technique.
I was glad to see Heil get some game time in what could be viewed as a "safe" match, but he really did have a bit of a shocker. Hopefully he'll learn and his game will grow.
My MOM would probably have been either Walker or Lovegrove. I thought Walker really stood up, he put three or four really good hard tackles in in the first fifteen minutes that set the tone, he did however give away a really stupid penalty for laying on that could have proved crucial if Widnes hadn't been such utter minge.
Lovegrove just put in a performance that is typical of this lad now. Solid, body on the line, committed and power packed. He just strikes as a really good honest pro, I'm not sure what deal he's on but whatever it is he deserves an extension. Rarely has a bad game, just gives it his all and leaves it all on the pitch.

| My MOM was the much maligned Mika,he played more central and was involved constantly, defensively he was massive and his drives were impressive. Hopefully this will give him some confidence moving forward,a close second was Ferguson who is a workhorse and certainly got under the oppositions skin.
Paea coming off the bench of which i have been asking for for a while, gave us some real punch along with Lovegrove.
All together a big improvement in desire,we will always score points but still our edge defence is scarey!

| I'd have to agree with the sponsors choice for MOM yesterday. Thought Paterson had a very good game yesterday along with all the back row.
Lovegrove had a typical Lovegrove game, very hard running and never shirks anything.
As bad as Widnes are, it started coming together yesterday. Hock dragged us down to his game a hit yesterday and played extremely well himself, that coupled with the game being in the bag at ht and we were never going to be the same team in the second half.
All in all it was a promising game.

| Hard to really pick a stand out performance head and shoulders above anyone else. As others have said Mika did very well and set the tempo early on. Cory P impressed - his link up with Dobson looks a real threat. Hall too I thought stood up quite well and defensively didn't take a backward step against the impressive Hock. (He did shoot out the odd time, and miss I think). J Hodgson quietly goes about his business. Good minutes from Ferguson. Caro, pace wise can be such a weapon for us. Good solid performances all round really, despite Widnes being almost as bad as last year’s performances @ CP - first half anyway.
With Eden in the side, structure wise we looked a totally different side and so much better for it. It may only be 2pts against a pretty poor Widnes side that offered little fight until Hock came on, but hopefully it’s now something to build on. Travis Burns is another game closer, Eden/Welham hopefully now edging towards full fitness. Bit of luck we may be able to field a settled side, with no drastic changes needed for next week.
