| Another juvenile points scoring thread, although the Hull fans have scored more on here then their team has achieved all year.
The view from the South Terrace is rubbish.
There is still a credit crunch going on.
The kick off time does increase the risk of a few trouble makers making a name for themselves.
Its on SKY.
Hull are garbage for the 2nd successive season.
People have the choice and if its not for them then so be it.
You cannot beat being at a live game but each to their own i say.

| Times are tough, Hull are playing poorly, the South stand is poor - especially compared to what they have become accumstomed to and the game is on Sky, its not a massive shock, IMO.
The only point I'd maybe disagree with is that it will hit Rovers in the pocket. I'm not sure that selling Sth Stand tickets at £10 would have brought in the more than 400 extra FC supporters, that would have turned an extra penny.
When the East stand is extended at its Southern end, perhaps the south stand can be retired, or eventually replaced. Tbf, it isn't just Hull fans who are unimpressed.
Hull fans - would you be more keen to attend a derby at the KC as away fans? At least one of you has suggested that might be boycotted too.

Rovers will be hit in the pocket for sure, 600 not attending at £20 each is £12k in lost revenue, coupled with a larger than normal police bill.
If Rovers were to ever stage a derby at the KC as the "Home" team of course people would boycott...I would go as far as saying some Rovers fans would too.
I honestly think the true nitty gritty for people not turning up this time around is not just the ground, we are poo and a lot of fans are expecting a drubbing, easy to take when it's Leeds or Saints, not so easy when you are sharing the bus home with you lot
I'm not attending for different reasons, however had we been playing a bit better, the kick off being earlier and players actually caring then things may of been different.

that's a fair point well made, the thing is though it has little sympathy in these parts when you consider during our barren run in the lower divisions the only derbies we had to look forward to were pre season friendlies at your ground knowing full well we were in for a caning yet we packed out the north end, stayed til the end and cheered our boys off.
I can't help thinking that the next derby at your place will be drowned out by about 5000 people roaring with laughter when your lads launch into old faithful at the line "...in any kind of weather"

Fair enough.
Just on the economics, of the ticket price - if they are not attending because of that price, that is revenue that was never there to lose. If halfing the price doubles the number attending, income remains constant and vice versa. If you are saying it is lost income because of failure to invest in better faciliities, that is a more long-term issue.

I think the point the poster refared to, was that we would not have made more money had we sold the south stand tickets cheaper, not that we have not lost revenue as a whole, due to the fact of not having a sell out.

true, but we used to bring far more than 600 to yours back then, certainly not scared of a heavy defeat

Crossed wires then I think, I wasn't referring to cut price tickets etc but simply people not turning up will hit hard, especially as the policing will cost a hell of a lot more.
Some will blame facilities etc etc and that's down to them, however there are more than enough fans that would go had things been different for Hull FC.
If you were playing in a multi million pound super stadium I reckon we'd still struggle to get a half decent following to this one.

Having watched rovers now for nearly 30 years I've always thought every hull derby was something of an occassion and still do I'd also say that this game is no foregone conclusion however bad you've been recently. derbies never are.
I can understand your lads looking forward to next season but if your current management are still in place next year how many tickets will the faithful want for craven park next year?????
