Maybe very slightly, but more than that it salvages a little bit of pride, and means that bad as it has been, it could have been worse.

We play leigh,huddersfield and batley at home and leeds,salford london and fev/bradford away I believe.

Batley have 29 points and go to Swinton. Bradford and Fev both have 28 and play each other. Fax host London (who are second no matter what) and hope for a favour from Swinton - their points difference is better than Batley's already.

What often goes unremarked about this mini season is how its shortness makes it potentially nastily sharp.

4 wins could see a team dodge the mpg, but equally might not be enough to reach it. Points difference could be hugely important.

Last year, a few people suggested that five wins would see a team safe, but in theory it could leave you playing away in the mpg.

A early loss for anybody will get the nerves jangling.

Totally agree, Sky don't want to show it, but they wouldn't allow the RFL 'live stream it' on their website !!!

That is the problem with our deal with Sky, they should have been made to show championship games once the rights were passed to them. I just wish premiure sports could afford our sport they at least apreciate what they have.
