Hopefully the loss of his good defence will be lessened by having other better defenders in the squad than previously,to cover, time will tell, end of the day if they don't want to be here we're better off without them!

If Costigan goes to Brisbane it will confirm that Bennett is officially senile.
At Newcastle he got rid of a heap of young guys and filled the roster with guys on the wrong side of 30 who were once great.
So far at Brisbane he has got rid of 3 or 4 great young prospects to make way for old favourites, and he is mostly got rid of props.
Costigan has had a great career, but he must be ready to retire now.
If he pops up at Brisbane, Bennett's 1.4 million dollar paycheck looks like the worst investment in RL history.
