Ex Hull KR TV season pass holder.Ex HKR lottery member. Ex Hull KR half season pass holder.: |
|
| Im happy for Rhys tbh but my wider view thinks its typical RFL again like with Rangi.
It must be remembered Rhys was picked for Scotland for the 2008 WC also but never got to play so he and them do have history.
Its a joke nowadays this national stuff but then again RL is a joke sport.
All my own personal opinion mind as ever !

Its not the game of RL that's a joke, rather it's the people at Red Hall who supposedly run the game imo.
The sport itself is a fantastic product.

| Quote: Burtons Forearm "Love this nonsense debate. Like it matters where your parents or grandparents had it off.
Poor Januzaj scores a couple of goals says nothing about international football. Being the off spring of Kosovan refugees and consequently his relatives have suffered whilst every twit destroys the land they are on claiming it as there own he should have some concerns on the concept of nationalism. They then flee the place and no one wants to know them and there's outrage because some twit on match of the day suggests he could be eligible for England. How has he become the focal point for a debate on national identity.
I don't get nationalism. Destructive idea. That said international rugby of both codes is a joke as you can play for different countries even after having played for one. You should pick a country your eligible for and not be allowed to play for anyone else.'"
You have my agreement there.

Didn't realise he had said that, and so it appears even more ludicrous!

30596_1286642206.jpg If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Yeah, I remember it now as well.
I can't remember it being a direct quote though, I think it came from NickHKR who's a mate of McRhys.
Bit of a daft thing to say really (if true), he was never going to get a gig with Australia (still only Gavin Millar that's been selected whilst playing in England iirc) and you can't blame the kid for wanting to play in a World Cup. He's played at school boy level for Australia, but never at senior so tbf he has in effect chosen to play for Scotland whereas the likes of Uate et al have switched allegiance.

Gavin actually sounds Scottish, and millar certainly is a Scottish (ish) surname. Rhys should clearly have chosen Wales.
I am going to give you a fact here;
One person on this message board, has the right to heard his sheep over Dumbarton bridge. I am saying no more on this matter but it is a bonafide fact.

If Cockayne comes back then Caro's game time is going to be limited, Perhaps Brown wanted to play.
I can't see Netherton being a direct replacement Lovegrove that is likely to be Larroyer's job.
Neither Caro or Netherton will be on much and I wouldn't be looking at them for regular starting spots.

| It could be that Rhys decision to play for Scotland in the rlwc is as a means to an end, putting himself in the shop window so to speak. Personally I would be keeping him.
