It's not just a fact he only signed a year deal it's the fact that he has signed for FC I know u live in Aus Sheldon but surely you still know what all this means to certain fans I totally agree with u and rovers shud ave offered him what he's worth unless..... Fc are so desperate for a full back they ave paid him stupid money and rovers are already in for another player no one will ever know, I just hope that he doesn't get booed but he will.

Don't agree with either booing him or releasing him early. That would be a stupid move which would only benefit our rivals.


At the end of the day. We've paid for a season of Shannon and that's what we'll get. Just the way it goes sometimes. It goes without saying bringing in a quality replacement must be a priority for the close season however.

Certainly not. He came for 1 year to help out Sandercock, lots of rumours of offers, the only thing i know is that the offer he accepted was substantially better than the one he was offered by us. Hugell wont anymore pay inflated wages, if it turns out to be FC then if you hadnt offered we might have kept him on a lower salary but in the end you take what you can get.

Remember though, the offer was put out a fair while ago, when Shannon wasnt showing the class he is now, 3 months ago, probably wouldnt have batted an eye lid at it, think some trolls can go back through threads and find the relevant quotes of FCs fans not wanting him and Rovers fans not overly concerned. Since announcing he was leaving he has really put himself in the shop window.

If he doesn't want to play for us, fair enough, and good luck to him. He's been largely disappointing anyway and I'm glad the club aren't prepared to pay stupid money for an average player. IF the plan is to play Hall at FB next season, then get him playing there as of this friday (Blake Green dependant!) and bin Shannon off. We're supposed to be building for the future are we not??!!

Kr. He signed up to play for Hull KR for the 2012 season. No more, no less. He didn't sign for half a season. He didn't sign to play "until
FC want him for the season after" he's still our player for at least the remainder of this year and he's the best fullback we have.

He is an aging journyman who has never had a decent contract, and now finds himself in the position where he can get one.

He does owe Sandercock a bit of loyalty because his career was finished without the lifeline he got from Sanders, but his main focus will be on making a few dollars out of footy before he hangs up the boots.

Sanders would have had a fair idea that he would improve a lot if he fnally got regular first team games for the first time in his career, so it has worked out for both of them.
