| We could have picked up those injuries against anyone, so we might as well play a derby. 50% (after SMC expenses) of a 14,000 gate means Hudge probably pocketed 50-70K for the club. Considering there were about 3,000 of us, that's plenty of Black & White cash in Hudgell's pocket! That's gotta hurt!  |

Ok, so it counts for nothing - but it's miles better to go to work tomorrow with a win.
Clinton & Paea were excellent. Hall (totally glossing over his error) was also excellent.

Felt sorry for Hally, had a brilliant game and was responsible for 3x the number of tries for us compared to the 1 he was badly at fault for.
He has been like a new signing since August.

the injuries were obviously the downside of today, but one of the major upsides was Craig Hall's performance, aside from his mistake obviously. I thought he was excellent!!

A good run out for both sides, I thought the new lad at hooker for us did a steady job when he came on. I also think they seemed to play at a lot quicker place than last year?

FC's errors and penalties were forced by Rovers dominance in the middle - Paea, Clinton & Mika were devastating.
O'Hara and Watts didn't play, Galea went off injured and obviously Green wasn't playing yet whoever went out there just seemed capable to plug the gaps and get the job done without any fuss - and this is a trait of top teams so I hope it continues throughout the season.
